Billionaire Caleb Blackstone lives in the glamorous world of wealth and success, with every material luxury. But the moment he sees Brooke Casterley, none of that matters. Caleb is filled with a raw, undeniable need that he can't ignore...for a girl who is so completely different from everything and everyone he's ever known.
Only Brooke isn't looking for love. She knows all too well just how much damage the wrong guy can do. Still, what sane, broke British girl can resist the charms of an incredibly sexy, chivalrous billionaire? What starts as flirtation quickly turns into all-consuming passion. Nothing could have prepared her for the searing heat of Caleb's touch - or just how much she craves him.
Their whirlwind romance is the stuff of high-society fantasy - but for every moment of pleasure, there is a cost. Past mistakes and tragedy shadow them both...and falling for him might be the kind of trouble she can't afford.

I really loved the synopsis for this book and the cover was hot, so I was looking forward to getting my teeth into the story. Sadly I felt a little let down, the story was a little too cheesy and I felt that billionaire Caleb was a little too mushy for my taste. I felt as if I was just going through the motions to get to the end of the story and I was not invested in the main characters. Brooke annoyed me for some reason and I could not connect with her or her traumas (which is unlike me). Written in dual POV, normally my favourite, but parts of the story seemed jumpy and a little too rushed. Enjoyable in places, with a shocker revelation that I did not see coming at the end, but even so it just didn't work for me.
First, I have a really hard time with Insta-love and this book has about 2 conversations before they are saying they love each other. I just can not feel the connection between the characters when they only know what each other looks like and have a few meaningless conversations. Once I got past that and they were together a little while I really did start to like their relationship. I loved the reaction they both has at their "surprise". The second half of this book was really sweet and loving and sexy.
Narration was was great, I love Jeremy York and really enjoyed Sienna Frances too.
The story was good but when Mr. York spoke as "Brooke" it was creepy. Ms. Frances (Brooke) talked too fast. This audible would have been better if both Mr. York and Ms. Frances spoke as their respective character.
This is a good story if you're just looking for a simple romantic story to listen to. Though it was good enough for this purpose, the book itself does not seem to have been written well. There were obvious errors in the story. The male reader was OK but not exceptional, I thought he was not 100% convincing as a billionaire. The female reader would've been much more effective with a strong British accent since so much emphasis was placed on Brook's accent. In spite of all this, it served its purpose, I was looking for a simple romantic story to listen to.
I loved Filthy Rich. Caleb is the man of dreams; romantic, dominant, caring, attentive, loyal, honest, and loving.
Brooke deserves every ounce of what Caleb can give her after the years of torture she endured.
Love, respect and hot chemistry is palpable in each interaction between them.
Both have skeletons and work together to help the other through their internal battles. Skeletons in the form of an abusive relationship, loss of a pregnancy, a crazy ex-girlfriend and family secrets.
I loved the sweet romance of Caleb and Brooke's story!
"Raine Miller has done it again 5 Stars!"
Raine Miller is a GO TO Author for me!
Her writing is PRICELESS!!!
I had already read this one, but wanted to listen also to bring it to life even more!
Right from the beginning there was strong attraction, sexy banter,
and a genuine feeling that connected me to the cast of characters.
Loved the narration that went along with the story. They had a great chemistry with their voices and relating them to the storyline!
Raine Miller has such a talent for developing a story, and setting scenes throughout a book,
that makes it effortless as a reader to follow along.
Caleb Blackstone is gorgeous, rich, and is not one to be in a serious relationship,
or let a woman rattle him. Meeting Brooke throws his normally confident demeanor off kilter a bit, and makes him want her. Makes him want things he hasn't before, and brings out his
protectiveness over her!
Raine Miller can write protective male characters like nobody's business!
I mean FOR REAL!
SO HOT!!! It's probably the thing I most love about her books, I couldn't listen fast enough!
Brooke however isn't one to jump head first into things,
there's been sadness & loss in her life.
She is a fiercely independent woman.
Not the type Mr. Blackstone is accustomed to,
that makes it so much fun!
I thought the book was sweet there's not much drama to it more of a love story. spoiler alert the women has a lot of emotion due to an accident however I found it annoying that she cried so much I guess my preference are strong characters. as for Caleb he did a great job sweet. I love my narrator Jeremy he has one of the nicer the sexiest voice right now you have to say I'm normally not fond of his female part voice but he did this one pretty well
"MEH - GOOD PREMISE.. BUT A CRUSHING DISAPPOINTMENT"
Who knows why with some books you can connect instantly to the characters and the story grabs your attention straight away and pulls you right in.. well unfortunately, with this listen, p I wasn't even remotely pulled in by either the boring characters or the lame storyline. Which was basically Caleb sees Brooke, quickly falls deeply in love with her and spends most of the book spouting out just how much he loves Brooke, worships Brooke, adores Brooke, Brooke has the perfect body, Brooke has a wonderful personality, poor Brooke what heartache she's had to endure, Brooke and he are just right together and his life without Brooke would be unthinkable.. see I bet you're already fed up with the many mushy musings by love struck Caleb - if not then try chapter.. after chapter.. after chapter of it. At one point I looked around for something to hurl into - coz it was just that sickly sweet.
There was a little bit of angst towards the end that maybe took up a chapter but other than that this was a tale of a rich Billionaire who instantly becomes besotted with an English woman who had, in the past, picked the wrong husband and tragedy, death and heartache ensued. So the stubborn woman wasn't going to make that mistake again.. the direction and choices in her life were going to be hers.. and only hers - but some things you just can't control - like love and when it'll happen to you. I don't usually mind insta love or lust but in this case it WASN'T special, spectacular, sexy, sizzling, riveting or even enjoyable. Dual POV's and good narrators whose talents were wasted on the wrong book.
Worth a credit? IMO - NO. There was zero connection between me and the characters, the narration somehow didn't work and the storyline was cheesy fluff - so if I had of used a credit on this listen then I'd be asking for it back.. in fact I still think I'll be asking for a $7.34 refund. But please don't just take my word for it because maybe you will want to bring it to life.. whereas I just wanted to bury it.
"Did not finish"
How can insta-love happen when you have only seen the female from afar? I just couldn't finish.
This has got to be the best feel good love story I have read. I loved this book!
"Addicted to Romance!"
Enjoyed the sweet romance. There was small amount of drama. I liked it wasn't dragged on. This great for a feel good happy listen.
