happy little tale

the story moved along nicely and the heroine for once wasn't a simpering idiot who could function independently and on an equal footing with the males.

Enjoyed it more than I expected

Excellent narrator - not always the case with JAK books unfortunately - and a good story. I wasn’t totally i to the level 5 sleep/paranormal stuff (although I love a good fantasy story) but it all moved along at a fast enough pace it was fine. Really liked our main couple Isabelle and Ellis, which always helps!

A good light read.

I read this book a long while ago and then recently saw it was included as free on Audible so decided to listen to it. In my opinion this is one of Ms Krentz's better books and I really enjoyed it.
The leading characters Isabel and Ellis are both quite appealing, the plot has enough threads and turns to keep the interest and the secondary characters are more than plot devices or background.
The narrator was pretty good too and that isn't always the case for this author's audiobooks.
This is a good Romantic Suspense novel in the round: not great prose and not deep and meaningful or full of angst, heart-wrenching emotional scenes or anything like that. It is just a solid and entertaining story.
