One woman, the fate of the world in her unknowing hands. One man, sworn to destroy her. A love so strong it defies nature. In a world of obsession, deception and betrayal, the line between good and evil fades, but one truth remains absolute. Darkness must fall. For centuries, werewolf, Dominic Ridolfi, has battled the demons of the night, upholding the sacred pact to protect man from vampires. Yet when sent to destroy the long lost Cacciatori heiress, the vampire prophesied to free her kind from the curse of darkness, he finds himself reluctant to complete his task. The innocent beauty awakens his humanity and Dominic finds himself not in the role of assassin, but savior. Swept away in a whirlwind romance, Kate loses herself in Dominic's mysterious world of opulence and seduction. But Dominic has a secret. He knows the truth about Kate's past, and her future, truths with the power to destroy them both. Only in her dreams does Kate sense the growing darkness within. Dominic saved her once, but can she save herself from the darkness within?

"Someone PLEASE tell me the next one is coming soon"
Sweeping and epic!
Kate was my favorite character. She was a strong woman, who never let the fact that she was orphaned at a young age, or that her future turned out to be much different than she expected be an excuse to give into whining and self-pity, though there are a few times where she probably could be forgiven for doing so. Also, Kate is a woman of strong convictions, and she remains steadfast and dedicated to those convictions, even when an easier path presents itself. In a literary world of whiny, wishy-washy female leads, Elle Bright's Kate is a breath of fresh air!
Kathleen Mary Carthy was EXCELLENT! She made the men sound like men, and the women sound like women. She has a true story teller's voice.
If I could have, I would have listened to this in one go. As it was, I listened to Fall of Darkness when I got ready for work and driving to work at 4 a.m., and every time I had to turn it off, I wished I could keep listening!
If Kathleen Mary Carthy keeps reading Elle's words, I'm going to keep listening!
"LOVED the story and LOVED the voice"
I don't really need all fifteen words for this. Without a question, I LOVED Dominic!
When Dominic and Kate come face to face again for the first time after being apart
I liked the fight scene in the werewolf club. It had great tension between the hero and his brother and gave great insight into the werewolf dynamics.
All of the above. There were times it made me laugh and cry and other where I wanted to throw it across the room
"Boring and NO Dialogue."
This book was boring and there was no dialogue. I cant stand a book where there is no dialogue unless its a fantastic story and this was not a fantastic story.
Narration wasn't the best either. Need to listen on 1.25 speed for sure.
