Sous chef Aimee Tierney has the perfect recipe for the perfect life: marry her childhood sweetheart, raise a family, and buy out her parents' restaurant. But when her fiancé, James Donato, vanishes in a boating accident, her well-baked future is swept out to sea. Instead of walking down the aisle on their wedding day, Aimee is at James's funeral - a funeral that leaves her more unsettled than at peace.
As Aimee struggles to reconstruct her life, she delves deeper into James's disappearance. What she uncovers is an ocean of secrets that make her question everything about the life they built together. And just below the surface is a truth that may set Aimee free...or shatter her forever.
A luminous debut with unexpected twists, Everything We Keep explores the devastation of loss, the euphoria of finding love again, and the pulse-racing repercussions of discovering the truth about the ones we hold dear and the lengths they will go to protect us.

Can't believe I actually listened to the whole thing. The premise is interesting, but the story dragged and I did not like the epilogue at all.
"Great story, but...."
This was a great story, but the narrator was horrible. She was way to automated.
"Plot Slightly Incredulous"
Was a bit too contrived and melodramatic to suit my tastes. I listened to the end just out of curiosity. I was entertained, though.
"Juvenile, lame, poor writing and the narration was awful"
I don't know how or why this book got so many good reviews on Amazon. It makes no sense. If this is the authors first book, I'd recommend she find another hobby. Stilted characters not filled out at all. She repeats the same lame phrases. Sex, cursing, a rape that didn't seem to upset very many people, incest, and a dumb epilogue.
Pick something else to listen to.
I liked the story well enough, but I think I would have liked it a lot more had I read it, rather than listened to it. (That's what I get for trying to multitask.)
I did not care for the narrator at all. She didn't seem to have the feel of the story down or understand how people would realistically speak to one another.
My 13 year old son, who could hear the story being played over our Amazon Echo, came in at one point and said, "Mom, that's the worst reading I've ever heard! No one says stuff like that."
I couldn't agree more, son.
"Romance mystery novel- flat"
I had no idea this was in the romance genre. Flat story, poorly written. Not literature.
"Weak, thin, ok for romantic young adults"
I was disappointed in this previously well reviewed book. I was also disappointed in the readers mispronunciation of several words. The story will most likely appeal to young romantic readers. Ah well!
"A good read"
The book kept my attention throughout with a storyline that draws ypu in even though it could be frustrating at times. The ending was thought-provoking and let's the story continue in your imagination.
It was really rough getting into this book. The narration was terrible. The reading was super flat at the beginning but got a bit better later on (or maybe I got used to it). I really wish she didn't try so hard to do the male voices. The story was very meh. If you enjoy predictable Lifetime movies you'll love this book.
This book was like a cheesy lifetime movie or soap opera. So unrealistic!! Drug out way too long. The person reading the book was a step above the kindle app reader. So monotone. How did this book ever get published. I have wasted hours of my time.
