Sebastian Stone, Sunder front man and guitarist with a rap sheet about 10 miles long, escaped to Savannah, Georgia, to get away from the trouble he'd caused, not find more of it. The moment he met Shea Bentley, he saw beneath all her sweetness and innocence something that went deeper. Darker. Their relationship was built on secrets, their love built on lies. Sebastian never imagined how deep her secrets went.
When the past and present collide, Sebastian and Shea find themselves fighting for a future neither believed they deserved. Their passion is consuming and their need unending. Now, holding the truth in his hands, Sebastian is faced with sacrificing everything he's come to love to protect Shea and his family.

Wow another great instalment of this series, loved the storyline and the characters. Looking forward to the next book. Would highly recommend this author
loved loved 1st book been waiting for 2nd book for ages...this book is a disappointment never known a book to yaba yaba so much pointless useless chatter pointless information I was forced to.forward alot of this book to get to the action a big let down naraters saved this book to be honest any other narater.and it would have been.removed.. such a shame.nothing like book 1 what happend? maybe a different wrighter... style of book 1 and 2 are world's apart...Sorry I could not rant how great this book is like I did with.book 1.
"I Really wanted to love this book"
Even with all of the mixed reviews and me not liking the 1st book, I still wanted to give this book a chance. This certainly wasn't the worst book but it wasn't one of my favorites. I struggled during some of the parts to refrain from fast forwarding because some parts would drone on and on uneccesarily. Other parts were really good and interesting. It was just a constant 'peak and valley' of a book that struggled to maintain my attention as I struggled to get through it so that I could move on to the next book in my list.
Even Sebastian Yorks' narration couldn't save this book and that's saying alot, he makes even some of the worst books better just by the sound of his voice.
Overall this isn't a terrible book by any means and if you liked the 1st book or just want to give this book a chance, absolutely take the plunge. However if you are on the fence like I was, don't waste your money or a credit on this one.
I HAD to pick this book up after the ending on book one.. RIGHT AWAY.. That ending.. wicked and heart breaking.
The first story was great, but this one.. this one by far passed it! I didn't think it would, but the more the story unfolded, the more I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.
There is love and sex, which was the sweet part of the story... and then there is the rest.. There is time when my stomach twisted because of the horrible things that we were finding out and the things that were happening! This poor couple and the sweet little girl that gets caught in the middle....
I will say that the words being repeated THREE times ALL the time got to be a bit much, but I will COMPLETELY applaud the narrators for making it as bearable as possible, but it was distracting and annoying at times through both books. However, the other aspects of the book were so great I can't mark down on the rating because of it.
Again Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did a FANTASTIC job with this story and I really have gotten to the point where I will pick up almost any book they do together because they add so much to the story!
The narrators were incredible, which is why I bought both this and the previous book in the series. An editor would have been beneficial to remove the constant repetition contained in the internal dialogue.
Yes, both are incredible.
It's hard to consider which character if any should be cut. It was a disastrous mess, altogether.
AL Jackson has become one of my favorite authors. This conclusion to A Stone In The Sea was just meltingly perfect. True love conquers the most forbidding problems and Shae & Bas finally get their happy future. Truly lovely ending and I hope she writes stories for Ash, Zee and Austin.
Omg. This book wrecked me in the best way possible!!!!! The story was phenomenal (as always) and the narration was FANTASTIC making this true perfection.
Loved every, single minute of this book!!
"Beautiful fish to their love story"
I love these characters the readers bring Baz and Shay to life. This a beautifully poetic story. I read lots of books in this genera but this quiet simple story touched my heart.
Let's also give major kudos to Sebastian York his voice makes Baz that much sexier.
Thank you A.L. Jackson for this gift in storytelling it was light, dark, heavy, soft and sang with delicate thoughtful poetry. I loved it.
"A RIVETTING ROLLER-COASTER ROCKER ROMANCE"
Before I started this second part of Sebastian and Shea's love story, I went back and listened to book 1 A Stone In The Sea again.... and I'm so so glad I did because it's been months (and lots of books) since I listened to it and I'd forgotten so much of the intricacies to the backstory in this riveting and totally addictive Duet. There is a lot of drama and angst in this second part to their sizzling romance - as well as passion, pain, heartache, tension, sex, secrets and revelations.
The handsome and sexy Rock sensation that is Sebastian (Baz) has so many toxic hang-ups, conflicts and demons rattling around in his head which build up and drives him to take action..... in the name of love and revenge. Shea, who has past and present demons of her own, has to step in to uncover the truths hidden in her past..... to save her soul-mate, to save herself and to secure a HEA future for all.
There are twists and surprises as well as a tender, obsessive and all consuming romance between two very likeable characters and the storyline has other interesting characters weaving throughout this well written love story. Dual POV's and the narrators brought the whole thing to life so each scene could be easily imagined and each character could be easily visualized as the chapters deliciously unravelled.
Worth a credit? Yes, very enjoyable, very entertaining and very creditworthy...... and you lucky listeners won't have to wait months, as so many of us did, after the torturous cliffhanger at the end of book 1. Book 3 in this series will be a standalone, will be about Lyrik (another member of Sunder) and will be added to my iPhone just as soon as it's released on Audible..... hopefully quickly followed by all the rest.
great series. suspence, sweet love, hit sex and a really good story. A must read, but read STONE IN THE SEA a super great 1st book
"Repeat repeat repeat"
I only stayed w this book because of previous book's ending. This one got wordy and I wanted to know what happened. But I listened to on 1.5 speed. Trouble trouble trouble, I knew , I knew, I knew, this author like to end ever other paragraph with three repeated words or phrases. The first book was hotter, but the story could have worked with less repetition and the ending was unsatisfactory in that we didn't have the satisfaction of seeing the bad guy get what he deserved. The narrators did well except for the fake southern accent.
"More of the same"
just pointless and needlessly going on and on with the same bad habit of repeating one word three times get out your shot glasses and soon you will be wasted to realize how bad these books are.
