On the wrong side of 30, Austin Montgomery is ready to settle down. Unfortunately, his inked sleeves and scruffy beard isn't the suave business appearance some women crave. Only finding a woman who can deal with his job, as a tattoo artist and owner of Montgomery Ink, his seven meddling siblings, and his own gruff attitude won't be easy.
Finding a man is the last thing on Sierra Elder's mind. A recent transplant to Denver, her focus is on opening her own boutique. Wanting to cover up scars that run deeper than her flesh, she finds in Austin a man that truly gets to her-in more ways than one.
Although wary, they embark on a slow, tempestuous burn of a relationship. When blasts from both their pasts intrude on their present, however, it will take more than a promise of what could be to keep them together.

Austin comes across gruff but he actually isn't.... well until it comes to the sex
Austin because he was determined to get the girl
well apart from not losing your page you feel the emotions

"HO HUM.... IT'S A 40/60 LISTEN"
This is one of those listens that has you scratching your head because there were parts I hated, parts I thought "oh come on" and parts I liked so at the end I was left wondering just what exactly my feelings were on this. And these listens are the hardest ones to review.
My dislikes.... one minute the H/H hate each other, the next day they go out to dinner and talk about a mutual Sub/Dom BDSM relationship and go straight back home and have hot sex (me thinks surely not a first date conversation!) dual POV's. There were missing time periods, glossed over events and I had a big question as to why the new person couldn't of brought all his stuff with him (I don't want to give any spoilers).
My likes.... The family dynamics were good and once I got passed all the sex (which I never thought I'd say) there was a decent story in the end when the whole family pulled together after a shocking life altering twist for the two lovers. Lots of characters with sub plots told from their own POV's which made it interesting. Very sexy narration.
Worth a credit? Will this teach me not to judge a book by its cover? nope.... it's hot. I MAY give the second book in the series a try I'm undecided. As to the credit well I would rather of got this while on sale.... but I won't be asking for my credit back.
"Another Hot Tattoo Alpha Male Novel-Yum!"
The covering of Sierra's scars by Austin are the beginning of a tedious, fragile relationship that neither is looking for.
While I felt the ending was a bit anti climatic-the book was worth listening. As part of a series, I will check out the others.
I enjoyed every scene in which Austin was disrobing. :)

I did not 'read' the book only listened to the audio book. I have read other Carrie Ann Ryan books and love her story lines - this one did not disappoint.
it's a little confusing to find a 0, 0.6, 1.5, and a 4.5 among the other 5 books making 9. When I search the titles in amazon the 'set' only shows 5 books. I was hoping for the kindle versions to have the companion audio but did not have luck with that so I just purchased the other 7 books on audio (can not find hidden ink on audio so I'll be stuck reading book #4.5) can't wait to get started.
"A roller-coaster of emotion!"
I started out reading this and then switched to listening to to it. The story is really pretty good. It's unusual in that it has so many characters and goes into the problems of so many of them, at least without being 500 pages long. Keeping track of some of the siblings was a bit confusing, but the main characters were pretty good. I haven't checked yet, but I'm betting that the author has written a book for each of the siblings, and maybe that's why she set some of them up with problems in this book. that way she builds interest in the later books. I'm hoping they aren't all quite as hectic as this one. This one was a real roller-coaster ride with not only Harry's diagnosis and the relationship between Austin and Sierra, but his son's sudden appearance and the problems that come from that. There's also Sierra's problems from her past. Then there are the relationship problems of the siblings. Never a break in the action or the emotions!
Carrie Ann Ryan’s Delicate Ink is an emotional and sexy journey of finding love when life throws you almost more than you can handle.
Austin and Sierra’s story is fun, overwhelming, passionate and heartbreaking. Carrie Ann Ryan never fails to make her reader feel. Strong, hard and real emotions. Delicate Ink is more than Austin and Sierra’s story. It’s learning to love and family is more than blood. The Montgomery’s have big hearts and open arms. Even in a time a family crisis, then are more than willing to step up or take more into their hold. I truly love this series.
Gregory Salinas guides the reader through attraction, passion, emotions and life’s surprises that encompass Austin and Sierra’s story like you’re standing right next to them. Gregory’s voice puts a spark to the words filled with emotion bringing it to life in a whole new way. Within minutes the reader feels like they have become part of the Montgomery family.
"the perfect story"
Gregory did awesome bringing Austin story to life reading it was great but hearing it even better.
Sierra .. she's fighting so hard to get her life together.
Austin working on the tattoo for Sierra
He did a good job with Austin.
"Loved Delicate Ink! I will be reading more of her!"
Yes! Her storyline was great.
Austin. He's older and wants more, finds more than he bargained for, rolls with it and loves with all he has!
The way he does some of the voices. He needs to loosen up some and not sound so formal.
Overall I loved the book. The storyline is good and you don't see the twist coming. I could relate with Austin and Sierra throughout the book and really felt their emotions.
