He's everything that broke her heart.
Cassidy wants two things - to make her cupcake shop a success, and to forget the ex-fiancé who traded her for the lights of Hollywood. She can't stand actors, movies, or anything resembling the guy who ruined her life. So when Jase - best friend of her ex and A-list actor - shows up at the ranch to research an upcoming role, ignoring her past becomes impossible.
Jase is desperate to escape Hollywood, and ranch life gives him a temporary reprieve. But ranching is starting to feel less like preparing for a role and more like the life he's always wanted. And he can't help envisioning Cassidy as his co-star. Can Jase convince this stunning cupcake shop owner that he's really a country boy at heart?

I really enjoyed this gem of a book. The story isn't unique by any means, however it is an uncomplicated and sweet, bite-size HEA romance, the kind you listen to for the feel-good factor. I loved the vulnerable, strong and determined Cassidy and Jase presented the perfect gentleman. But more than that, I really enjoyed the narration which was a perfect match with the setting and characters.

"Sweet Little Romance Story"
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I have listened to a number of Lindzee Armstrong's stories and none have disappointed me. This one was different from the others that shows Lindzee has an amazing talent for writing. The story, although short, was complete, The characters were well developed. The narrator, Stacey Glemboski did a great job of creating individual characters. I felt like I knew each of the characters. I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice change from my usual paranormal, sci-fi reads.
"Short & Sweet Contemporary Romance"
I'm familiar with Lindzee Armstrong and throughly enjoy her writing style.
Cassidy was abandoned at the alter on her wedding day. She hates actors or anyone that reminds her of her ex.
Jase is tired of Hollywood and acting. He comes to Cassidy's ranch to get a break and learn about ranching. He did not plan on falling for the Ranch Owner's daughter but that is exactly what happens!
The narrator does a great job bringing the story to life. There are no cliffhangers & very little drama. It's a laid back love story with just a bit of friction! I'm looking forward to book 2!

"A short, fun, sweet romance!"
I was given this book free in exchange for an honest review.
This was very short, but the author did a pretty good job with the story. I have a little trouble with the movie star male main character, but that's on me. It just doesn't seem very plausible.I liked the character of Cassidy. She had some bad times in the past and it always makes characters easier to relate to.She was trying to get over her ex-fiance who basically left her at the altar to go make movies. Now here comes movie star Jase to do research on her family owned ranch for his next movie. He ends up helping Cassidy in her cupcake shop and they get to spend some time together. Even if she's brave enough to have a relationship with another actor, is it possible for them to make it work?
The narration by Stacey Glemboski was very good. She did an excellent portrayal of the characters.
"Sweet Hallmark Style Romance"
Sure. It is a light, feel good, romance. Ms. Armstrong weaves a solid story where you feel like you get to know the main characters in the short amount of time you have (4 hrs).
I enjoyed Ms. Glemboski's narration. She was able to portray the various characters as unique both male and female voices. I enjoyed her southern delivery.I received a copy via audiobook boom in exchange for an unbiased review
I loved this book, it is right up my alley. The sweet love story with a little angst is perfect. Cassidy has been left 2 days before her wedding and a year later is not over it. Her ex is an actor who up and leaves with no explanation. Jase is an actor who would like to become familiar with his next role and comes to stay on Cassidy's ranch to acquaint himself with ranch life. Little did they know how much they would have in common...starting with knowing Cassidy's ex! This fun love story brings us through life decisions, getting to know each other, overcoming obstacles and falling in love. Jase and Cassidy's story is heartwarming and you can't help but love them both. Would have loved a cupcake while listening to it! I am looking forward to book 2.
Stacey Glemboski did a great job with this performance. This is the first book I have listened to her narrate and found her voice warm and enjoyable for all characters.

"Cupcakes and Cowboys"
“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”
This is a sweet short listen. Cassidy doesn't trust actors after her ex-fiance left her at the alter and ran off to Hollywood. When out of the blue she finds another actor in her families home. Cassidy is ready to run him off and he wants to research a new role. Time passes and things change. I love these short sweet tales.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.
"Cupcakes and Cowboys"
I enjoyed Stacey's narration. She brought the feel of the south , of family and friends in small town, and of country living to life.
Stacey narrated each character in a believable way. It was a quick, fun read thanks to her narration.
I admired Cassie's determination to move on after the betrayal of the past.
Living in a small town means everybody knows your business but it also means you have a support system.
I liked the fact her friends stood by her (even while they swooned over Jase ).
Jase wasn't very likeable at first. He was the typical spoiled star and made stupid assumptions about Cassie.
I enjoyed seeing him learn what country living really entails: its hard work and determination.
Soon after finding out the reason for Cassie's behavior, we saw a nicer side of Jase, not just the actor, but the person. The man who sometimes wishes for a different lifestyle.
The romance between them was sweet and not sexual and developed too soon.
I think the book should have been longer to show us how Jase and Cassie adjust to being a couple, with all the differences (professional and personal).
But overall ,a nice ,sweet story.

I read this book on my Kindle when it first came out and loved it. But hearing the audio of it took Cupcakes and Cowboys to the next level. The story itself was sweet and I could read it again and again. But Stacey added something extra by the way her voice changed with each character, even a hint of an accent on some. Both author and narrator did an amazing job on this book! These two characters are ones I hope to hear more from in the future!
