In Atlanta, Georgia, the Cocker Brothers have certainly earned their nickname - The Cocky Brothers. Their daddy taught them to be real men. Their momma told them, "Hold out for a different kind of woman." They have one thing in common: arrogance. Jake Cocker's younger brother Jeremy has just enlisted in the Marines, leaving him without a roommate. Jake wasn't aiming to live with a woman, but when a curvy, newly single, smart-ass who's at the end of her rope answers his ad, he changes his mind right quick, but mostly out of pity. Is Drew Charles different enough to tame a wild heart like Jake's?

"OH MY GOD!!! FRIST IMPRESSIONS ARE AWESOME"
This book is great. It is southern sweetness at its best. There are five more Cocker brothers so please please please give me A Cocky Seanator, Hip Hop Mogule, Biker, Marine and Cowboy.
"JAKE IS TRULY SWOON WORTHY!!"
It was a good story, I liked it!
Its a romance book...with a sweet alpha main character and a great girl...many out there...this one is good!
I thought she did a great job with the narration!
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
Drew needs a new roomie, and Jake has a room! He tries to intimidate her, but she is sold on his place! They settle in, and of course there is an attraction. As they get to know each other, they find they have a lot in common...She discovers how family oriented this guy is and even thought they almost miss this connection...they end up with an amazing HEA!!!! I cant wait to hear more from this series....I think it going to be a good one!!!!
"Don't let the author/narrator scare you- this one is excellent!"
Ok, Ok, I totally underestimated this audible book. When I started the playback, I realized the author was also the narrator- which should have resulted in an immediate PASS had I payed closer attention. Boy, am I glad my finger made that confirmation click while my brain was doing something else! Ms. Hopkins' writing is excellent, but her damn good voice acting takes the experience way beyond that to completely immerse the listener. I swear, I could easily imagine everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING...whew...is it hot in here??) I hope to god that other authors who are thinking of narrating their books in the future will refer to this one to better gauge whether this is a good idea or not. Now, back to the book- great storyline, hot sexy action, a hunky alpha male- all coming together beautifully. This one makes it over the insanely high bar over to the less than 1% of my >1500 titles that I will listen to a second time. (So yeah- that makes me analogous to the serial dating manwhores where books are concerned, therefore I know what I'm talkin bout.) You're welcome 😉 - now go ahead and click with confidence. Ms. Hopkins- I sure hope you don't make us wait too long to get better acquainted with the rest of the Cocker brothers- hurry up!!!!
"A CRACKER OF A COCKER!"
I came across this book by accident & I am so glad I did.
Drew's marriage has come to an end & she decides to start afresh outside her small hometown. This leads her to answer a rather unique 'roommate wanted' ad which brings her in contact with a younger man who she consequently finds she has an unwelcome but distinctly 'HOT' attraction to.
Although I'm not a fan of big age gaps between couples, this relationship never felt out of place....the chemistry between Jake & Drew felt real.
This story, although predictable, was highly enjoyable & the narration was one of the best single narrations I've heard. Narrated by the author Faleena Hopkins...I found she gave this book a real authentic kick & was able to inject her true meaning into the words spoken, which I think could easily have been lost with just reading it myself.
I found myself smiling, laughing out loud & generally just cheering for Drew & Jake. Fantastic audio...well done Faleena 👏
Jake is soo cocky and soo hot !!! I hope there are more stories for these Cucker brothers in the near future. It was not too long so I was able to listen to it without interruption.
Good narration and story by the author
"Good book but....."
This was a good book but not worth the credit. The previous reviews had such high ratings that I thought it might be worth the credit even though it was a short book. It was decent but I would recommend to wait for it to go on sale. It is a series and if all of them are short and cost the same amount it will cost close to $100 to listen to the series. It also took me a couple of chapters to adjust to the narration. It wasn't bad but I don't feel like the voice went well with the characters.
I was concerned when the author was to read her own book. However,I she did a fantastic performance. I look forward to hearing from her soon.
