A little short, but lovely.

I really enjoyed listening to this. This is the first audio book I've listened to after a failed attempt with another book. I hadn't factored how much the performance affects the book. The first one I listened to was awful and I couldn't get through it. However, Melody Grove brought this book to life without the need to give strange voices and accents to characters. They were perfectly performed and I enjoyed the book a lot.

I hadn't realised this was part of a series, so I'm a little disappointed that wasn't noted in the blurb - I've missed the first two books now and am never keen on going backwards. Having said that, I enjoyed the characters so much that I'm tempted to get to know them from the start.

The final thing to note is that the book was pretty short. It was going along at a lovely pace but then the ending felt very rushed. The book could have been much longer and kept at the same pace for my preference. These are minor niggles though, as it's a lovely, light book.

A sweet Christmas story

A lovely Christmas story to get you in the mood for Christmas. It reminded me of the Christmas movies on the TV.

Rather Shallow

Happy girly girly endings. Some good insights into the psyche along the way; but very much a chic book. Lacking depth & something to get your teeth into.

Good but one voice annoyed

Annoying child’s voice off putting. You don’t want to hear that constantly.
Good story and ending though

Just a shame it’s so short

Really short and actually nothing about the cafe at all. Book 1 was fantastic. This be a nothing like it sadly.

Lovely short Christmas story

I haven't listened to any of the "Beach Cafe" books before this one and I loved it. A nice festive light read. I have listened to Lucy Diamond books before and they have been brilliant. The narrator was really good, which makes a massive difference.
I do recommend this book but as it's short I would not spend a credit on it. £3 is fine or free from the plus catalogue.
