It's not just the motion of the ocean, ladies. It's definitely the size of the boat too. And I've got both firing on all cylinders. In fact, I have all the right assets. Looks, brains, my own money, and a big c--k.
You might think I'm an a--hole. I sound like one, don't I? I'm hot as sin, rich as heaven, smart as hell, and hung like a horse. But guess what? You haven't heard my story before. Sure, I might be a playboy, like the NY gossip rags call me. But I'm the playboy who's actually a great guy, which makes me one of a kind.
The only trouble is, my dad needs me to cool it for a bit. With conservative investors in town wanting to buy his flagship Fifth Avenue jewelry store, he needs me not only to zip it up, but to look the part of the committed guy. Fine. I can do this for Dad. After all, I've got him to thank for the family jewels. So I ask my best friend and business partner to be my fiancée for the next week. Charlotte's up for it. She has her own reasons for saying yes to wearing this big rock.
And pretty soon all this playing pretend in public leads to no pretending whatsoever in the bedroom, because she just can't fake the kind of toe-curling, window-shattering orgasmic cries she makes as I take her to new heights between the sheets.
But I can't seem to fake that I might be feeling something real for her.
What the hell have I gotten myself into with this...big rock?

I really loved how this book was written, witty internal monologue, great dialogue, lovely romantic story with believable characters that practically had me begging them to get it on!
Too much details about sex and very little about the story......very quick book that took so long to get to the point!
Performance very good
Loved the book, funny, sexy and a great story line. With not just one epilogue but two! You've got to love an epilogue.
Any book is always enhanced by the incredibly sexy voice of Sebastian York.
If this is you genre you won't be disappointed, with the added bonus of touching base with these characters in subsequent books.
I love a good friends to lovers romance, and "Big Rock" definately delivers! I love how nearly the whole story is one giant double entendre. I love the interaction between Spencer and Charlotte; the banter between the two is engaging and it is easy to picture the two together. The only part that I was a bit iffy about was the scene at the ball park. Just before it happened, I was thinking to myself "right about now everyone is going to find out the truth and it's going to be all angsty". I nearly stopped listening then (reading/listening on audible), but before I knew it, it was happening. The ending was wrapped up nicely. The only thing that would have made it better would have been Emily's father crawling back and being turned down, but the emphasis was obviously on the relationship between Spencer and Charlotte (which it should be).
I've got to admit, I really liked the narration. On audible so far, I've listened to fantasy books so when I heard a 'growly' voice talking sex, at first, I burst out laughing. Especially at the start of the book and the first line. I hadn't read the book before so that was definately a surprise! Still I though Sebastian York did a decent job of voicing women, other men I've heard voicing women sound like they're trying to be little old ladies, Sebastian didn't. It was clear when it was a female character even before the "she said" after it, due to softness of the words.
Overall I found this book and narration enjoyable and rate it a solid 4/5.
it ranks high enough for me to listen to again
that they were best friends
got to be Spencer
yes i suppose i did
loved it can't wait for Mister O
I didn't think it was possible to love Spencer more than I already did.
But I was wrong. I fell in love with him all over again, he made me laugh, made me smile and most definitely made me warm inside 😉
Family bound, strong friendship, true undiscovered love with a lots of comic elements incripted is what this great book is about.
This book is a true feelgood read that is well written and will make you want more of it.
Sebastian York does it again.
This man delivers every single time.
How he narrated this book is just on point.
He was the perfect choice for Spencers personality.
I crave more and more from one and only Lauren Blakely and can't wait for her next work.
The woman has mind of a genius that I just can't get enough of....not today...not tomorrow probably never ☺
So if you haven't got your copy of stop wasting your time and JUST DO IT☺
Happy listening people😚
"This friends to lovers romance is a must read!"
Yes because Sebastian York's narration was brilliant. His inflections and voice changes added so much more depth and emotion to the story. It kept me engaged from start to finish!
Tangled by Emma Chase. They are both written in the male pov and are heartfelt, sexy and hilarious.
Altho I loved the whole book, the de-briefing scene and both epilogues were my favorite scenes.
I laughed and smiled through the whole book!
This friends to lovers romance is a must read! It is one of the sweetest, funniest, sexiest, most romantic books I have ever read! It is told completely in Spencer's pov and is refreshing and hilarious! Spencer and Charlotte are best friends and business partners. They have an easy friendship and know each other better than anyone else. When they agree to fake their quick engagement for a week, it is for their mutual benefit. Charlotte to rid herself of her bothersome ex. and Spencer to help his father sell his business. But lying isn't easy for Charlotte or Spencer. He loves and respects his father so much that the guilt weighs on him. They convince themselves it is for such a short time and good cause that it's worth the price. From the start of their agreement you see how perfect they are together in the ease with which they banter and maneuver around each other. Spencer loads the dishwasher the way Charlotte likes without a thought, he knows she likes jewel tones and hates chocolate covered cherries, etc. Charlotte knows when to jump in to help Spencer and always has his back. They have always thought the other was sexy but never gave a thought to anything more. But now the floodgates have been opened and they begin to entertain the possibilities. Can Spencer convince Charlotte that their explosive chemistry isn't fake but as real as it gets? Can something this good stay strong when it begins with lies? Ms Blakely is brilliant at creating sexy, intelligent, clever adult characters who tackle life head on. It might not always go smoothly but it always feels genuine and honest. I loved Spencer and Charlotte together, their banter was witty and they felt like two halves of a whole, completing each other. I really enjoyed meeting Spencer's family, they were fun, loyal, and supportive. If you are looking for a heartfelt, funny, sexy romance you will absolutely love this book!
"Spencer will have you sigh........❤️"
She's done it yet again. Big Rock, a witty, funny and yes, sexy story. How is it possible for Lauren to have you loving yet another one of her men. Yes, Spencer, you will fall in love with him. Starting with the prologue. All things BIG right? It turns out though that it's not all about that. This story is about true friendship. A friendship which will test Spencer and Charlotte, a friendship almost broken apart by a game of pretend. But to what cost? I was laughing out loud numerous times, squirming in my seat more than once. This story is witty, funny, sexy and yes, sexy.......... Sebastian York does an amazing job from the funny scenes to the oh so hot and sexy ones. Loved his performance. Thank you Lauren for the fantastic entertainment❤️
"Added to my fave list!"
I listened to this on a road trip, and loved hearing Sebastian York the entire time. The cover & story reminded me of Tangled by Emma Chase. It had the perfect amount of humor, romance, and sex. This is my first Lauren Blakely book, and I'm glad to have used my credit on it.
"ITS GOT THAT FEEL-GOOD FACTOR THAT'LL LEAVE A SMILE"
This was a light, funny, easy-going, romantic and sexy 'friends to lovers' themed contemporary love story which, even though it's fairly predictable, still managed to not only hold and keep my attention throughout but it also had a surprise or two in store for me too.
Spencer and Charlotte are such loveable characters, yes Spencer is a cocky and confident well hung Playboy, but you can't help falling for his charms..... and his heart is always open, true and honest.... he is what he is. Told entirely from Spencer's POV, there's witty banter, a smooth and easy openness to their relationship and there's no hidden secrets or cruel lies between them waiting to be unearthed. However, there is tenderness, passion, sizzles both with the chemistry and the sex and a soul deep connection between two people who hadn't realized that they were crazy about, and just perfect for, each other. Good narration too.
Worth a credit? For me, and plenty of other listeners, the answer is an easy YES but if you feel that it's just too short a listen for one credit, as I first did, then please add it to your Wish List and wait for a sale - I'm sure you won't regret it.
"Great Listen For The Romantic At Heart!"
All the positive reviews are spot on about Big Rock! The story was light witty, steamy, and the narration was absolute perfection! I'm relatively new to Lauren Blakely and enjoy her unique writing style, and love the plots, dialogue, chemistry and characters. I'll definitely be adding more of Blakely stories to my steamy romance collection.
Well worth the time, credit or sale.
"Big, Hot, Sexy Mess!"
I loved this story so hard (pun intended). I'd already read Mister O, not knowing it was a sequel, but Charlotte and Spencer's story was awesome! Knowing they are best friends, and have agreed to remain friends, after pretending a fake engagement for a week, you'll never guess the outcome until, yup, you guessed it...the end!!! Seriously, the author drew this one out until the very last minute! Just when you think you KNOW what the outcome MUST BE, it changes! A true nail-biter!
"Spencer is the total package!!"
I'll definitely listen to this one over and over! The friends to lovers stories are so good, and Lauren Blakely gives some great twists even though you know an HEA is at the end. Spencer and Charlotte are a great couple. They know each other, but then they don't. It's great to see them discover each other in a different light than being best friends. The secondary characters are also great, and I'd love to see more of Spencer's sister and parents.
Way too many to mention. You know Lauren Blakely gives you lots of memorable moments in her books, and this is no exception
Sebastian nails Spencer's attitude perfectly. He's one of my favorite narrators, so I had no doubt he'd be great.
I absolutely loved this audiobook, and can't wait for the next one in this series, Mr. Orgasm. I heard Sebastian is narrating that one, too. Sweet!!
There are 3 things that made Big Rock a total gem: Sebastian York, multiple references to a certain appendage & skill set that made me giggle like I'm 12 years old, and the fact that, a friends to lovers storyline is always a great one. That was a mouthful just to say, GET THIS BOOK, YOU'LL LOVE IT!
"Couple is too perfect..."
He decides a fake fiancee will make him respectable to facilitate a business deal for his father. She is co-owner of their bar and coming off a breakup. They find fiction might become fact. This couple was too perfect caught in a silly manufactured situation. I listened to their story but I did not feel them much. This was a cotton candy book.
