I loved this book. but I never realised how the mentally ill were treated until late listening to this book. Excellently written & narrated
I am really struggling with this book, it is so full of gloom and doom that I don't know if I can make it through to find if the gloom lifts. The story is reminiscent of The Woman in White, but there is nothing to raise the spirits as there was in Wilkie Collin's greatest work.
I do consider that my reading is to entertain and keep me busy, and I feel disappointed if I just feel in despair from what I read.
Having said that - The book is sufficiently well written to activate my sad feelings!
I may try again later - But for now, I will have to find a Terry Pratchett to raise my spirits
Another good book by Rita Bradshaw I've only read two of her books and listen to one but they've all been really good I like that you have a beginning a middle and an end , they go on to tell you what happened to the main characters and what the outcome with out ending abruptly. I will be looking out for more audiobooks by the author
