The brilliant new summer best seller from Lindsey Kelk, author of the I Heart series.
Everyone loves a bridesmaid. Except Maddie, who's perpetually asked to be one.
Everyone loves a wedding. Except Maddie's best friend, who's getting divorced.
And everyone loves the way Maddie's so happy backstage. Except Maddie herself.
One best friend is in wedding countdown while the other heads for marriage meltdown. And as Maddie juggles her best chance at promotion in years with bridezilla texts and late-night counselling sessions, she starts to wonder - is it time to stop being the bridesmaid?

Don't waste your time, awful narration and weak storyline. Towards the end there is an exchange by emails and it goes on and on and is really annoying!!!!!
Didn't like the American accent
Review posted on behalf of my wife. She doesn't usually read this kind of book but was looking for easy holiday reading, she'll think twice next time.
I love Lindsey Kelk - always a good fun lighthearted read. I looked at this and thought another book about weddings, happily ever afters. I didn't know if it would hold my attention.... wasn't in the mood for a wedding story. Glad I listened because as always there was so much more, funny, light, emotional, sobering. I finished it late last night and thought it was "brilliant"
This is a classic romcom, but the author has been creative in this format. I laughed out loud a lot throughout, both at scenarios, character descriptions and wordplays. Lotti Maddox narrated the story as if she relayed her own life. And she has a good grasp of accents. I'd recommend this book to you who likes a good romcom.
Great summer listen - lite predictable but funny and very enjoyable!
Would recommend for escapism and if you want and easy listen!
The writing in this book is witty and...hilarious! The narrator is fantastic! (Honestly, much funnier than my own imagination if I had read, rather than listened to, this book.)
The plot didn't sound that great when I was browsing books, but the reviews were so good, I decided to try it. Glad I did! It explores a great mix of career challenges, soul searching, friendship, and of course romance. All punctuated with sarcasm and wit.
This was my first Lindsey Kelk book, and I am hooked. I'm now listening to the "I Heart" books, and they are also great, but none as good as this one.
I hope more of the print books are made available on Audible.
loved it! was a great easy listen. some very obvious plot points but it almost didn't matter . the narrator is wonderful, I could listen to her all day
"quirky, takes a bit of time to get into"
the accent takes a bit to her used too, but very fun and girly .
"GREAT BOOK LOVE IT"
IS SO FULL OF EMOTIONS AND A GOOD STORY LINE
SURE , IT JUST TAKES U TO THAT MOMENT AND U DONT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN
It's just a great, funny book, that doesn't sacrifice intelligence. It explores female friendships with real honesty.
This is my first time listening to a performance by Lotti Maddox, and I found her to be so endearing as a narrator. Lotti has not nailed the American accent, but yet I loved listening to her every time she voiced Lauren. For me, it didn't take anything away from the story.
I listened to this in my car commuting to and from work, and would often find myself just sitting in a parking lot or driveway to listen a little more. It's engaging and fun. If you enjoy chick lit, you'll love this book.
Loved the narrator
Story was fun and entertaining
Definitely worth the time
But best for those who enjoy a light hearted tale without a serious subject
A feel good story. Rather predictable, but didn't detract from the enjoyment. Narrator was good, wish there was a *bit* more variation in "voices" like "sharoline's" (spelling?) but overall - well done.
"Loved this book!"
Loved this book! Likeable characters, good story and really well narrated. Was also very funny at times.
I actually liked this a lot. It was an easier, light listen. I tend to listen while I'm working and this wasn't hard to stay with while I was doing other things. It didn't hurt that some of the lines actually made me laugh out loud. Definitely kind of a silly girly book but entertaining enough. Am definitely planning to listen to more of this author.
"cute and easy listen"
I enjoyed this book. I liked the main characters sarcasm and outlook on life. I will read more books or listen to by the same author
