Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The hilarious number one best seller by comedian and author of Because of You and According to Yes, Dawn French.
Everyone hates the perfect family - so you'll love the Battles.
Meet Mo Battle, about to turn 50 and mum to two helpless, hormonal teenagers. There's 17-year-old daughter Dora who blames Mo for, like, EVERYTHING and Peter who believes he's quite simply as darling and marvellous as his hero Oscar Wilde. Somewhere, keeping quiet, is Dad, who's just, well...Dad.
However, Mo is having a crisis. She's about to do something unusually wild and selfish, which will leave the entire family teetering on the edge of a precipice.
Will the family fall?
Or will they, when it really matters, be there for each other?
A Tiny Bit Marvellous is the number one best-selling novel from one of Britain's favourite comic writers.

A Tiny Bit Marvellous
Dawn French veers from teenage gay son to horribly hormonal daughter and all the other characters with great fluidity, charm and enthusiasm. I laughed out loud often and while the different chapters for different characters didn't flow at first, it ended up whooshing along at a fast pace. Very enjoyable and a lovely book to show how even dysfunctional families are what most of us regard as normal!

Fact! A whole lot of marvellous!
A wonderfully written and narrated story by Dawn French. It'll make you laugh and it'll make you cry as you get to know the characters. They will def remind you of someone you know...or perhaps yourself? I have just heard the last chapters and I'm left with a kind of sadness that we have reached the end...oh, parting is such bittersweet sorrow...Ms. French is def a gifted storyteller. Fact!
Read the story and you'll know what I mean:)

Dissapointing
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Didn't find this book captivating at all , maybe because it was written in a diary form .
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
There could have been more depth into modern family life.
What three words best describe Dawn French’s performance?
Expressive. Lyrical. Upbeat
Could you see A Tiny Bit Marvellous being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?
a TV series maybe with more characters that can be developed and entwined
Any additional comments?
Preferred Oh Dear Sylvia

Yes Quite Marvellous!
This has to be one of the most original books ever. It deals with everyday situations, stroppy teenagers, tired marriage, temptation and cakes, but with a fresh and loving eye. Dawn French reads her book and does a superb job of the voices, especially the teenage girl Dora (OMG!) Some surprises and a bit of a twist in the tale. Just the job for a sleepless night, or a long journey. Enjoy!

A Tiny Bit Annoying
Always been a fan of Dawn French and have read several of her books. Think I should have read this one rather than listen as the voice she gives to the character of daughter Dora is so annoying. Dora is supposed to be 17 going on 18 but sounds and acts more like a 13 year old! Half way through listening and will continue as I like the other characters and find Oscar enchanting.
