Publisher's Summary

Cade Bowman leads a small werewolf pack in Bellingham, Washington. Or he does before a fire elemental intent on revenge traps him as his wolf. His pack gone, held prisoner by the elemental's charms, he knows death is coming for him.

Mara Taylor is dying. A mysterious blood disorder is taking her life, and her doctors can't seem to stop it. Only her daily swims offer her any relief. Resigned to her fate, she heads to Orcas Island for one last swim.

When Cade's wolf finds Mara, he knows instinctively that she's the key to freeing him from the fire elemental's charm. She's more than that. She's his.

Can Mara free Cade and his wolf and save her own life in the process? And if she does, can they survive when they learn the identity of the fire elemental hunting them both?

    Story
"Not bad kept my interest new PNR twist"

I enjoyed the book , nice spend on the elementals. This was the first book in the series and I must say I like the storyline and plot.
I will say that the elementals seem to be the badasses of this series rather than the shifters which is new for me. While this is NOT bad in general in this book they seemed somewhat weak and inconsequential. The entire book they wanted to or were running scared .
They where fine when ganging up on one sickly elemental 5 to 1 but had their tales tucked between the legs the rest of the time. The wolves were all a little too insecure for me and died a little to quickly. What is the point of being a shifter if one can trip and break their necks so easily.

The narration was not bad but just a little off putting the author made everyone sound whinny with a little too much wicked witch of the east inflection.

    Story
    "Just ok"

    The story had potential, but:
    1. I really did not like the narration- the female voices were whiny, and the male voices seemed constantly angry.
    2. The female lead had no spark and actually told her love interest to leave the shower because she was "too tired" for a repeat performance after finally consummating the relationship. Wait...this is a romance, right?
    3. To be fair, however, the male lead told her to put on clothes a few times...but more irritating was his complete meltdown when his mate was kidnapped and dying. Actually, he was pretty much a coward from the time he shifted back into human form. Not sexy at all.
I do not recommend using a credit on this one.

    "Really enjoyed story!"

This is a great first book. I like the audio but the reader lacked slightly doing the male voices esp. the lead male Cade. But really did enjoy. Defiantly worth the credit!
