A librarian, a warrior woman, and a love story that's out of this world....
Holly tells herself that the reason she hasn't asked her girlfriend to move in (after four years of dating) is that she's too busy - but it isn't true. A very book-obsessed librarian, Holly has buried herself in so many romantic and magical stories, that at night, she dreams of a woman who will sweep her off her feet - something her indifferent girlfriend has never done. But one night, during an unusually vicious storm, magic and romance appear in Holly's backyard in the form of a mysterious, gorgeous woman...wielding a sword.
The dashing stranger's name is Virago. She claims that she's a warrior on the hunt for a great and terrible beast; that she, and the beast, slipped through a portal from their world into ours. Holly isn't sure what to believe, but she is now responsible for a (possibly crazy) swordswoman who is bewildered by modern-day conveniences like escalators, but not by the chivalry of sweeping a woman off her feet.
Can Holly help Virago find her own world again, or will that falling-in-love thing get in the way? And, of course, there's the tiny problem of the beast Virago wounded that is now seeking revenge....
A Knight to Remember is a light-hearted, fantastical romance that will take you on a journey you'll never forget.

This is possibly the worst narration I have ever had the misfortune to have listened to, I was relaxing having decided to listen to a good book, selected this, and after a few chapters which describe RenFairs and how this bookworm decided to out herself whilst still in school which wrought her menace and bullying for soo long, she decides she must immerse herself in a good book to bring to life a female Knight of honour....after a few chapters I became irate, and in doing so wondered at my mood, that's when I realised I was listening to a teenager whining on and on and on....I just suddenly felt the need to STOP! NO MORE, ENOUGH! I couldn't take any more. I don't know if the essence of irk is with the story itself or the narration, or just a poor excuse for both..
Amazing. I loved the story. The narration was crisp and clear. I'm looking forward to more books.
"Love the book and narration"
This is not my first Bridget Essex book and won't be my last. I loved it and absolutely love that it is narrated! I've listened to it twice this week! The narration by Rose Clearwater was very good and it was easy to get lost in the characters and story. I hope more of Essex's books narrated!
Perfectly written and narrated, must read!!!! Excellent storyline and descriptive writing, I look forward to reading more From the author. Thank you!!!!!!
The story really hooks you in and makes you wish Virago would sweep you off your feet too<3
After all the angst and constant description of the main character's infatuation it was great!
it had my attention from the very beginning.
I truly enjoyed it and look forward to part two.
"Most boring book I ever heard."
More action. I wanted to see what the knight could do, except kept reading about long drawn out weak, crying Holly who should have broken up with her girlfriend and clapped in her face when she said it was over, said thank God and walked away.
More action and the break up could have been better. She made Holly to weak. She should have made her stronger, especially for a knight.
She was good, wish she had a better story to tell.
I kept forwarding and still Holly kept going on and on about nothing. Wish I can get rid of this audio. I hope the second book is better.
"fun but fast"
The story was really fun and Holly reminded me of my girlfriend, but the narrator needs to pace herself. Some of the emotion of the story was lost in the quick paced reading.
I thought this book was really well written. I love how detailed it was and it built up the love between the two main characters.
The person who read the book did a pretty good job. I could listen to her voice all day. The only thing I didn't like was she kinda made the main characters best friend sound really young. I do realize that it's hard to be one person and have different female voices to speak as.
I highly recommend this book if you like Knights, adventures, and romance.
"great plot, some repetition issues."
i loved the plot and the chemistry between the protagonists. My story issue is the constant repetition of the narrators heart beating fast. it's almost not an exaggeration that it happened every ten paragraphs. Other indicators of stress, panic, and arousal would benefit this story.
if you can get past this, it is a feel good story!
