A boy's 16th birthday is a special occasion. It's a time where he becomes a man. It's a time that brings many changes.
But Isaac's 16th birthday brings him more changes than most. He is not quite himself, and suddenly his friends don't seem so much like friends anymore. By the end of the party, Isaac will not just change from a boy into a man, but into something else entirely.

"Cuddle up to this novel and it might rip your throat out." (David T. Wilbanks, co-author of Dead Earth: The Vengeance Road)
"One of the best horror books I have read in years!" (Eric S. Brown, author of Last Stand in a Dead Land)
It's a great short story and very enjoyable.
Barbara as she was shy and tried to impress Isaac
Isaac as his attitude changes through the story as he finds out he's different from his friends.
Barbara singing in the style of cookie monster very funny xx
"That's one Heck of a Party!"
The most enjoyable part of this book was listening to Chris Barnes. I love his voice, tone and accent.
When the main character discovered he could get everyone to do as he wanted.
My favorite was when he got the girl to stay for the party. They both realized something was off, but she couldn't do a thing about it, and he was!
That's a good question. If I had a hand in renaming, I believe I'd have called it Puberty Can Be Hell
I really liked this tale and think it would have been even better had it been longer! Plus, I could have listened to Barnes even more!
loved it just wish it was a full story I could picture it asa movie.
"Short story, but intense"
Be afraid to cross that fine line between good and evil. Once you've crossed over...
A novel take on the world's baddest boy bio, set in an angsty coming of age package. Fun but morbid, it wastes no time getting to what you want to hear, especially if you have a little bit of Mr. A in you too.
"I Want More!"
This is the perfect starter book for horror lovers who want something short and to the point, especially if they've never listened to an audiobook before. It only runs about 40 minutes and is a great introduction to Iain Rob Wright's work and Chris Barnes's narration.
I have listened to almost all of Chris Barnes's other performances. He gets better with each one. In this story, his voice changes as the story progresses, reflecting the changes the main character is going through. This adds a new dimension of creepiness and tension to the story.
Isaac is the most memorable character in this book. The changes he goes through in a short amount of time and the character he becomes is fascinating.
Iain Rob Wright and Chris Barnes make a phenomenal team. Chris captures the characters' emotions perfectly in each of the brilliant tales Wright tells. I could certainly see this short story becoming a full-length novel and hope, someday, the author will decide to explore the Isaac character further.
