Emily Ross never expected to survive her deadly fall in the Costa Rican jungle, and she certainly never thought she'd wake up in a strangely futuristic dwelling, held captive by the most beautiful man she'd ever seen. A man who seems to be more than human.
Zaron is on Earth to facilitate the Krinar invasion - and to forget the terrible tragedy that ripped apart his life. Yet when he finds the broken body of a human girl, everything changes. For the first time in years, he feels something more than rage and grief, and Emily is the reason for that. Letting her go would compromise his mission, but keeping her could destroy him all over again.
This is a full-length, standalone romance that takes place approximately five years before The Krinar Chronicles trilogy. You do not have to have listened to that trilogy to enjoy this book.

"Emily and Zaron"
This story was feakin' awesome! I loved that we get to see what happened before K day before Korum and Mia met. It was really cool to get to see a new Krinar Zaron and that Korum makes an appearance. I found it hilarious that Korum doesn't understand Zaron's want to have Emily as a Charl and yet we the reader know that he will eventually take Mia as his Charl so that's really fun. The connection between Zaron and Emily is freakin' hot! They are just meant to be together. The book ends with them leaving for Krina. I hope there might be a book in the future about one of the couples lives on the Krinar home planet.
Roberto Scarlato does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. I really enjoyed his narration.
"Another great Krinar story!"
Though I'd already fell in love with Korum and Mia in Close Liasons, I fell just as hard for Zaron and Emily! I loved the story line and the characters, set in the time just before the earlier books. It was a real Love story, written and narrated so very well! Well worth listening to and well worth the money. I adore the narrator and his expressive style. A++
"More Krinar Please"
I enjoyed experiencing the Krinar story from another perspective. I look forward to future offerings!
"EXCELLANT ADDITION TO THE KRINAR SERIES!!"
Fast, Erotic, Technology!!
When Zaron let Emily go!!
No really. I could have sworn I heard a dog barking in the background noise. Maybe something was wrong with the taping season. I did like that he attempted to sound like President Obama!!
Krinar Vampire Invasion of Earth!!
EXCELLANT STORY!! I stayed up all night to finish Emily and Zaron's story! Every pages and every scene was full of adventure, surprised and a true passionate love story between Emily and Zaron. The Krinar Captive is a prequel to the other Krinar books sereis. Zaron has been sent ahead of Krinars first contact ships to find the proper places the Krinar should colonize on earth an were there planets food sources can grow and thrive.
Eight years ago Zaron lost his mate and he's still is grieving her dead. He finds Emily's broken twisted body after she fall off a bridge in Costa Rica while on her vacation. Emily's parents died when she was 4 so she is acquainted with the loss and grieving of loved ones. These helps draw the couple together.
I loved all the futurist invention of the Krinar and watching through Emily's eyes as she is introduced too technology she could never have fathom. Zoran can't let Emily leave before the First Contact of his planets landing on earth. The two fall slowly but passionately in love they have one hot sexy, Erotic romance. Very Erotic as we all know Anna Zaires is capable of writing.
The Krinar Captive is a fast paced, well developed story. It can stand alone but I recommend you read the other books in the series. I really hope Anne Zaires continues the Krinar series and that it doesn't take as long as this one did to get the next book.
I Highly Recommend The Krinar Captive!!
I received an ARC for an honest review. I'm a huge Anna Zaires fan so when I heard there were ARCs available I jumped on the opportunity.
Tbh when I hear "Alien" I'm like oh goodness I'm not sure about this. Let me tell you The Krinar Captive was Amazing!
I fell in love with the characters, Zaron & Emily were awesome.
This book is great from beginning to end, one of my top books of the year.
Definitely a great read....
Wouldn't buy this book again. I have to submit ten more words to submit this!
"I have fallen in love with Zaron"
I loved this book. The way the story evolved around them getting to know each other and and falling in love was outstanding. I just love a man that gets possesive. I highly recommend this book. Steam factor 8 stars.
A nice addition to the Krinar stories, but Emily was such a bit** and so undeserving of Zaren!
"Good idea for a story but way to many F words, to much about sex and not enough story"
I liked the idea of the story and it is why I got the book. But with every other word the F word I just didn't want to listen to it. It really took from the story.
