This ground breaking collection of stories explores aspects of female sexuality long unexposed until Anais opened what she herself was to call 'that Pandora's box.' It is brave, fearless and compelling.
Ingrid Pitt reads our production. When she slapped Richard Burton across the face in 'Where Eagles Dare' her career was launched. She has not looked back appearing in films such as 'Countess Dracula', 'The House That Dripped Blood' and the SAS saga 'Who Dares Wins'.

Here is a set of light, innocent stories from bohemian Paris, which are deliciously sensual and erotic.
But the most sensual part is Ingrid Pitt! Audible, if you are listening, I want Ingrid Pitt crooning all my erotic stories to me! :-)
Such poetic writing. It was my first time purchasing a book bug anais nin. The narrator is what made the book great for me.
"A Fantastic Journey Into the Women's Sexual Mind"
I haven't listened to many audiobooks yet, but this one was fantastic, the writing is sexy without telling every detail, allowing your mind to fill in the blanks and creating an image. The characters aren't completely fleshed out and I found myself sometimes forgetting who's perspective we were following. But all in all a great erotic novel.
"A great re-read"
yes, this is the scond time around for me!
Descriptive, you can almost smell taste and feel the descriptions of the items involved!
The scene describing this gentlemen's perfume!
"Anais Nin, mother of female erotic expression."
This book is old and classic. It's not what I expected; it's hotter than any fantasy a man has ever written. Anais Nin was an amazing woman. Her writings aloud be to see myself and women in general as truly sexual beings, with a complexity only a female could understand. This is pornographic, to be sure, but from a time where it was unheard of. If your open to exploring female sexual fantasy (not lesbian, but very feminine), take a shot at it. Many women find it offensive. That's why we've gone wrong somewhere. We should celebrate such a woman. None the less, be prepared.
What an earful! The narrator's whispery, filmy voice, her fab accent, the dizzying content, its all just a big sugary earful! Anyone who fancies themselves having lived a previous life as a film noir star, or as a courtesan, or some sort of glam girl, will loooooove this book.
"I couldn't make it through."
I don't think I would try any others. After reading reviews and having it suggested, I really tried to get through it. I just couldn't get past the narration. Sometimes it just ruins the story.
The narration was the worst part. Annoying.. I deleted it before I could get through 30 minutes.
Never got into it because I couldn't stand the narrater
I don't know
I don't know
I won't EVER rent or buy anything narrated by I Pitt :-(
The narrator made it almost impossible to listen to the book. Not sure if it was the way the book was read or if that is the way she normally speaks.
I believe I would not, her voice is not very "book friendly" for me.
