Take - verb: to reach for and hold in one's hands or get into one's possession, power, or control. Logan Mitchell is a man who's always been more than happy to take what he wants. It's a philosophy that's proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try - he's hooked. Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep. He has a choice to make, and it'll force him to do something he's never done before - take a chance. Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan's apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man. Ever since then, he's thought about little else. At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body's curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning. He's starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it's one full of excitement and satisfaction - a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife. Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they've found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

"Ella tells an amazing story, and you will fall even more in love with Logan and Tate." (Ana's Attic Book Blog)
"Ella Frank once again has written a stunning and captivating read, you cannot help but root for these guys." (The Romance Cover)
I will never listen to something narrated by Shannon Gunn again. It's embarrassingly bad.
It's a shame because the story is hot.
"TEMPTATION SERIES: TRY - - TAKE - - & - - TRUST"
Ella Frank is by far the best author of the M/M romance genre dialog that I have ever read or listened to in her temptation series. Her mastery of word play is nothing short of literary art. Reading and / or listening to her books is like watching a fencing match; two friendly opponents thrusting, attacking, pairing the point of the words, with a counterpoint phrase, is nothing short of that the crystallized contained violence of classical music. It is fierce, violent, scary, and utterly festinating. It is like watching two people engaged in the stylized movements of a tango. It begins in a slow rhythmic approach of the two bodily magnetic forces of the dancers as they first attract, capture, and then spiral around each other until they touch, embrace, then fly apart but not too far to as to brake the power of the gravitational attraction of raw emotion, that will draw them back together for the next round of poetic movement. I simply could not put it down.
Shannon Gunn is one of the best narrators of audio books. I have only been disappointed once in his interpretation of an author’s intent but not in this series; and not this time! He is spot on and a perfect fit for the temptation series. His range of character interpretation is in a word . . . superb! He captures all the whit, whimsy, drama and explosive flash of the author’s words. It is like a kid driving glove finely fitted to the driving force of the author’s hand.
My only disappointment at this point is with Amazon and their Audible division for not having the whispersync audio ready and available, as of the date of this review, for the third part of the temptation series TRUST. To borrow a phrase from the author “F. . . ing Unbelievable!”
"TAKE" will definintly get you there"
Oh geez, book 1 was really good this book is really good. Its always nice to have another look at characters you like. This is indeed an erotic series, these guys are classically hot and could easily get anyone they want. Yet when they choose each other they keep you informed as to why. Its raw attraction at it's best. Learning curves with sex is a fun part of this series too.
Just enjoy its for your listening pleasure.
i have listened to this story 3 times and it thrills each time. would love to hear more from the characters!
"Very well told and hot, hot, story. Loved it!!!"
OMG!!!!! Amazing storyline. I had to buy the audible book in order to keep from sneaking to read it at work. Recommend to anyone who has an open and unbiased mind.
I absolutely adore these characters. Ella Frank weaves such an amazing story around them that leaves you wanting more. My favorite series ever!
"Deserves more than 5 stars! Even better than book 1!"
The evolution of Tate and Logan's relationship was very realistic, in that it wasn't insta-love and it showed the real-life effects (or fall-out) of being true to yourself.
I'm not really into movies, so I don't know.
"Amen and WOW"
I love this story and keep listening over and over waiting for book 3 Trust! Ella Frank is the bomb!
"LOVED it ♡ "O" ♡ so very much."
I have the third book Trust downloading on my Kindle as I Type this. Can't wait to be alone again with my two favorite men.
"Another fabulous read by Shannon Gunn"
Hot, Steamy, Unputdownable (It's my word - deal with it ;) )
Well, definitely Try as Take is the sequel.
Originally the first one that popped into my head was "game night" but when I truly thought about it, the scene that really stood out was when Tate needed some space and Cole found Logan at home with his coffee table busted and his brother a bit out of his mind. When Cole reminds Logan "He's just scared" and Logan replies. "So...Am...I." We finally see the worried boy in the man, the Logan who wants to love and be loved but doesn't believe it's actually possible.
yes - so even though I couldn't sit for 11+ hours, I did my best with my earphones in my ears everywhere I went yesterday and today.
When is the third one out? *grins* I want more Logan & Tate! And definitely more Shannon Gunn.
"As Great as Book 1!"
Several things: the writing, the story, the narration, and the characters.
Lee James' "Errors and Omissions: both are on the noir side, both have handsome, hot and randy main characters who are wrestling with relationships, and both have villains whom you love to hate. Last but certainly not least, both novels are compelling and incredibly well-written.
Yes. Shannon Gunn has a voice that's perfect for this series. He makes the characters come to life.
Tate's comebacks to Logan's smart-assed comments and arrogance always made me laugh. I got a little verklempt when Tate's blue-collar parents disowned him after he outed himself. The return of Logan's ex BF and the climax had me on the edge of my seat.
"Take" is an outstanding follow-up to "Try." Do not miss this series!
