Taylor is a vampire - but she doesn't want to be. Turned against her will by her sadistic mistress, Celeste, she has been living a miserable life of bondage and abuse for the past six years. Finally, through the help of her best friend, Addison, Taylor is rescued, but she can't relax for long. In order to save her from an even worse fate, she is married off to Victor - a very reluctant groom who just happens to be a werewolf. Victor doesn't want to be responsible for the fledgling vampire, no matter how beautiful she is. Especially when he finds out he is the only one she can drink from. But aside from the strange arousal that overtakes him every time she sinks her dainty fangs into his throat, he has other problems to deal with...and a very big secret to hide. Their marriage of convenience is supposed to last for only three months, but Victor and Taylor find themselves drawn together by more than the vows they took. But as their attraction grows, so does something else. Inside Taylor, something is changing. She begins to have physical cravings she has never had before, insatiable appetites that only Victor can satisfy. Will she succumb to the madness growing within her, or can Victor save her from the Scarlet Heat?

"Bring On The Heat!"
Absolutely!! The characters, and plot were well developed, and the length of the story was perfect, not too long and not to short.
There were some many moments I truly enjoyed but I loved the scene of where we get to hear wolf's POV when he comes home with the trap stuck to his paw, and the scene where Victor's beast tries to heal Taylor when she gravely hurt.
Mackenzie and Jeremy did an outstanding performance, and gave each character their own voice. I will definitely will be on the lookout for more audiobooks from either of these narrators!
This story was so hot and steamy, and I thought I might go up in flames!
This is a credit worthy story, and I've already suggested it to several of my friends!
"liked it much better than the first book!"
the narration was much better, and I liked the male/female POV. very sweet, hot story!!!!
Sexy, hot and tantalizing! This book has everything a girl is looking for in a great paranormal romance. Hot, but not over the top sex scenes. Damsels in distress, suffering real-life crisis. Hot leading men that will go to any lengths to please and save their woman. And great, somewhat realistic paranormal suspense.
The narrators' performances were beyond excellent and the characters were easy to distinguish one from the other. Their voices were very smooth and easy to listen to. A big part of audiobooks is great narration, without which ruins an otherwise superb book. You won't find that here!
An abused vampiress is forced to marry a cursed werewolf to save her life. She has to feed only from him due to the laws of paranormal marriage. She starts to experience strange changes, such as being able to tolerate sunlight, amongst other things. Eventually they build an attachment to one another, which is threatened within their own relationship. Those that abides her come for her and threaten everything the two have built together and the werewolf's cursed secret will be revealed.
This audiobook has many plot twists and turns and is a beautiful and sexy love story. It's a must read/listen! But do read/ listen to the first in the series beforehand "Crimson Debt"
"Very hot heterosexual vampire and Warewolves story"
The couple was sexy and sooo steamy togheter.
The whole Warewolves and vampire matting theme.
Wow they were amazing at narrating this book.
This was one of my first romances
I read and I'm glad the audible did not disappoint .
"Much better than the first book"
This book I enjoyed much more than book 1. Maybe because I expected the Heroine to be a little more delicate. She came into her own strength final towards then end of the book.
Could of had a little more talking rather than assumption between the 2 main characters. They were both too scared to acknowledge their true feelings which got annoying after a while, the book was still decent.
We met Taylor back in book one of the Born to Darkness series, Crimson Debt. She had been horribly abused by her Mistress and in order to free her she is arranged (forced) to Blood Bond with a Werewolf Victor for 3 months.
I was really looking forward to reading Taylor and Victor’s book right from their introduction in Crimson Debt and I am so glad I finally got my hands on it.
As you can imagine two people (whatever) living in that close proximity to each other for any amount of time can cause feelings to change. It also doesn’t hurt that Victor is the only one who can feed Taylor. With his blood comes some unexpected results due to him hiding a very scary secret.
The scenes between Victor and Taylor were scorching hot, but also super sweet. I loved how he was with her.
Victor was a huge surprise for me. But I guess he shouldn’t have been. He was incredibly loving and sweet yet 100% Alpha, just the way Evangeline always writes her men.
Scarlet Heat totally hits the spot for this Vampire/Werewolf romance and I absolutely can’t wait to read the next installment in the series, Ruby Shadows...Sara
loved it want to read more i think that this store I'd amazing how two people have so much love for each other no matter what the situating
loved it. I would recommend it to all my friends. please keep writing more like this.
"Howling good listen!!!"
It was very good.
When Victor is whipped and turns into the huge creature of his curse.
The duel voices. It is nice to hear two voices not just one.
Not really. It was way too long.
Great book. Was even better than the first.
"Taylor and Vincent make the sparks fly"
I liked book rwo in this series. I enjoyed Victor more than Taylor, but i think the story was interesting and i like that old and new characters are brought into this book.
Taylor and Vincent are blood bonded to protect Taylor from her evil maker Celeste. Taylor builds her vampire skills with the help of Vincent. Vincent quickly learns to love Taylor. Nice ensing to the story.
