Things take a sizzling turn when Rene Tanner finds himself neck-deep in marital unbliss. He's fully prepared to do whatever it takes to reclaim his wife's surrender. The way he sees it? He's been putting her on a pedestal when all she really wanted - needed - was for Rene to put her on her knees.
Alexis Tanner has felt alone and unfulfilled for quite a while. So when her marriage counselor suggests a week of "As You Wish" therapy, she's expecting to be wooed with chocolates and flowers. Instead she winds up in leather restraints and a silver collar. Now she must surrender to her darkest desires - or be forced to let Rene go forever.

The first half of the book was terribly slow and dull. The end of the book and the dinner party was just such a farce that as a reader you cannot believe that would ever happen - or at least not all of the events and character reactions.
No, but this book is one of the worst I've read. It's shorter than many and still manages to be boring for half of it, and not much better for the second half.
I guess the main female character was the best, but I did find that at times the narrator's voices got a bit jumbled in tone with the characters and the narrative.
"Probably better when read"
The narrator performance kills this book.
The inflection is wrong for most of the book. In addition the that problem, there were a number of inappropriate pauses throughout the reading. Maybe that is more of a problem with the producer than the narrator.
Reader warning: This should probably be reclassified as erotica instead of classic romance. There is graphic dom/sub interaction and an anal sex scene.
"Modern day Taming of the Shrew"
Rene and Michael's showdown was classic.
I was not impressed with Bonnie D. Jones' performance. Her enunciation sounded forced and her emphasis was misplaced. The story held up through the narration.
I loved this book. Rene was a little long winded, but I could imagine him whispering in my ear, maybe Riley should re-record this with Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. Definitely panty dropping material then.
