Summary

When Cordell Carmel catches his longtime girlfriend with another man, the act he witnesses seems to dissolve all the boundaries he knows. He wants revenge but also something more.

Killing Johnny Fry

is the story of Cordell's dark, funny, soulful, and outrageously explicit sexual odyssey in search of a new way of life. It marks new territory for the best-selling author of Devil in a Blue Dress and countless other books; it will surprise, provoke, inspire, and make you blush. Above all it is about a man questioning the rules we take for granted--and the powerful and sometimes disturbing connections that occur between people when these rules are removed.

definitely not erotica

I was highly disappointed with this, it read more like a really bad porn movie rather than an erotica. definitely not worth it

Actually a 0/5 novel!

My book club wanted to read an erotica and this was *highly* recommended by a member. And for the life of me I absolutely can't imagine what made her so love this. I have read many an erotica and this was basically a porn filled novel. The storyline and plot was so convoluted and highly implausible I kept SMH in disbelief as the novel went on. The guy narrating the story had such a dull monotone voice it made the sex scenes comical. Only finished it as I need to lead the book club discussion on it. But Walter Mosley should know women can be sexually liberated without having some kind of trauma or childhood abuse to their story of why they want the kind of freaky sex they want!
