When Tucker Branch, playboy heir to Branch Bolt and Screw, screws and bolts a week before their wedding, Mia Devine wants nothing more than to crawl under her newly monogrammed sheets and plan a funeral for her dignity. "One of my favorite romances ever, Frenched has it all, from the sexy charming hero to the clever dialogue to the dreamy Parisian setting. And it has the most delicious treat of all-sweet, scorching, passionate, toe-curling, fan-me-with-palm-fronds sexy scenes." (Lauren Blakely, New York Times best-selling author)
I'm an avid audiobook fan reading contemporary, romance, YA, PNR, fantasy and sci-fi. I review for Jo&IsaLoveBooks Blog.
This book was the most perfect, funny and romantic book imaginable. I was in a bit of a book downer before this but it pulled me out of it completely.
Mia has been jilted and goes to Paris to make the most of the honeymoon alone. It seems she's made a big mistake, surrounded by romantic couples. She ends up in a bar and Lucas serves her. Lucas convinces her not to jump on the next plane home by offering to be her tour guide for the following day. Lucas is completely outside of her boyfriend profile. These two had chemistry off the charts and I loved every minute of this read.
If possible this was even better on audio than ebook. Great narration that hit all the emotions and it gave me all the feels!
The storyline is not a new. But it has a different angle I guess. I just really enjoyed the love story part of these two characters. I am not so young so the sex became a bit much. I wanted to know how they worked things out. It is worth the credit. A good listen. A good narrator. I love good dialog and this one was good.
"LOVE! I'm hooked on the series now!"
Such a great story and what a perfect match for a narrator! I could listen to her all day!
"I'd get Frenched all over again"
This book made me feel like I was in the story. My emotions went up and down with each situation. Melanie writes a super hot panty melting story. The narrator did bring more to the story then I had when reading the book. Seriously I wouldn't mind getting Frenched over and over again.
"The city of Love!"
Absolutely loved this book! Mia and Lucas are scorching hot together! After being dumped a week before her wedding, Mia's best friends convince her to go to Paris for her honeymoon. When she gets there, she gets a bit depressed after seeing all the couples in love and therefore takes herself to a bar where she meets a sexy bartender, Lucas. After hearing her story, Lucas offers to show her the sights. What ensues after will have your body burning!! What a trip!
"Great story; give me hope!"
Great story but I would listen to any book Jillian Macie read she brings the human factor to the characters with her carefree tone. I love her!
"great story but didn't like narration"
No, the narrator sounded like Jennifer Tilly and I didn't like her Lucas voice.
I did not like her Lucas voice - did not sound like a guy at all.
"The ending though"
It was a decent story until the end. There better be another book coming soon!
"Fave book, now fave Audible"
Loved this book, so it was a no brainier to purchase. Loved this audio! The narrator was perfect as Mia, and Lucas will always be swoon worthy.
I absolutely love the way this recording is done! The two narrators work wonderfully together and the occasional bits of music really add to the whole thing.
"Fun story, believable voice"
It was a fun story. Narrator did a good job of voicing aside thoughts differently than conversations. Some of the text was awkward for external reading, but I thought she did a great job.
