From New York Times best-selling author Laurelin Paige, book 1 in the Fixed Trilogy
Fixed on You is the first book in a trilogy but ends without a cliffhanger. Due to mature material, it is recommended for ages 17+.
Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither's past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out - move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan. But what Alayna didn't figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He's smart, rich, and gorgeous - the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson's fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it. Avoiding him isn't an option after he offers a business proposition she can't turn down and she's drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull.
When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she's fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

Boring, uninspiring, ho hum.
The only thing that's unique is the main character has a stalking obsession. The gentleman, Hudson something-or-other is completely stereotypical.
Really, there's not a lot to say about the story. Rich mogul meets poor, struggling woman. Rich mogul makes an offer she can't refuse. Boring sex ensues, they fall in love in spite of both being love-shy.
It has nothing special. Stick with Crossfire. Even 50 shades is a better quality story, which says all that needs to be said. Don't bother. Don't waste the credit.
l loved this book when i read it and its so great on audible the voice really brings the story to life cant wait to get next one x
Such a predicable load of nonsense, the tedioum of someones ordinary life holds NO interest to me, how this was published is beyond me, I despaires before the end, I had wasted enough hours of my life to continue
I'd like it removed completeky from my library so that I don't have to be reminded of the wasted purchase along with other novels from the same Author, all droll
Found American man voice very strange - didn't match the sexy descriptions and references being made by the narrator
loved this first instalment. the best bit is how they have both had destructive pasts and how they find a softness between the lines. I cannot wait to get the rest of the books in this series
the fact they both have destructive pasts
she was good with the female obviously but not so great with Hudson
yes & i did
This book is exactly what I needed!!
Hudson and Alayna... WOW
I really love Alayna she has to be my favourite fictional character.. yes she can be so fixated on herself sometimes and she cries a bit more than I would like (not as much as Anastasia 50 Shades :O that was just shocking!) but you really do start liking her more and more as the story goes on.
Where do I begin with Hudson...Huds?? Boy O boy did I feel like slapping him (I get way to involved with fictional characters *_*) but you start to understand him and yes you will, like me, want to slap and shout at him but he's such a good character... He's deliciously dominant but marshmellowy on the inside!!
LOVED the booked... LOVED the characters! <3
"Not so Fixed"
I downloaded this book because it had great reviews and the narrator was highly rated, however, I didn't like it. Honestly the story was too predictable and the narrator was just okay. If I had it to do over I wouldn't use a credit on this one. I won't be listening to the rest of the series.
"Nothing wrong with a little crazy!"
I can relate to Lanie a little bit. That moment of obsessing and stalking when there is a nagging feeling that something is wrong...which leads to bad decisions.... but Lanie was on another level and it worked for her. Now Hudson was all sorts of confused, how anyone can make a game out of pain and heartache is beyond me. Who knew 2 crazies can add up to sanity? Despite the 50 shades jabs, i think this was an enjoyable read worth my credit....and 1 more narrator added to my list when I go trolling for books!
"GOD, YOU CUM SO EASY"
First let me say the narrator is excellent. She made the book even better. I as a man was not that interested in the book, as it was not written with me in mind. I am starting to figure these romance novels out. They are tease, tease ,tease and then something happens. Which is probably more real life then fantasy. This had some elements in it that I have seen in other such books, that always insults my intelligence. NO ONE WOULD MISTAKE YOU FOR A FLUZZIE, EVEN WHEN YOU DRESS LIKE ONE. This is another book were the author believes telling you someone is something, makes them something. We are told this girl is smart, because she graduated college. Matter of fact she has $80,000 in school loans. She got her degree so she could get promoted at the bar. She does not want to leave the bar. I was a bartender once and I understand how someone can get addicted to the life, but you don't get a degree or spend $80,000 to get one. Especially when you have no qualms about sleeping your way to the top. An intelligent woman does not wear her pants so tight she has camel toe or wear shirts open past her belly button. Skin sells, but a smart woman can dress sexy without looking cheap and a smart woman knows that without being told. This girl is also basically a whore. She agrees to play house with this guy to get her loans paid off. Etc... It is still probably a great escape for women. The sex starts slowly and builds and is mostly aimed at pleasing the woman.
I'm not sure but I'm leaning towards no. The way Hudson's voice is described is not at all how it was narrated.
I loved Hudson and Alayna working on his business proposal and Hudson falling asleep before Alyana came out of the bathroom was just adorable!
I really had a hard time with the voice for Hudson. It was just awful.
I couldn't turn this book off!! I had to finish. It did make me cry. That last chapter in Alayna's new office. Wow Huds!!
This is a wonderful love story. I saw a review that said "these two were really broken people. Not like Christian Grey, he was fixable." Ok I'm sorry but Christian Grey liked to tie up, beat and sleep with girls who looked like his dead crack whore mother!! Hudson played the "Cruel Intentions" game and Alayna had some stalking problems. They both knew they had a problem, got help and told each other about their "addiction." IMO, Christian is the really really broken person and I think Ana enables his dysfunction . Not Hudson or Alayna. They truly are better together than apart. I am so cheering for them!! My new book boyfriend is so definitely Hudson!
"What an Exquisite display of male Sex - Drooling !"
Holy crap I LOVED this book! I am pretty sure I had a huge grin on my face for at least 5 minutes after reading this book. I may have even been clutching my iPhone to my chest so that I could hold on to Hudson and Alayna just a little bit longer. If I am being completely honest I sort of obsessed over Hudson and Alayna just a little bit, but only for like a day... I couldn't get them out of my head, and I have already come up with numerous different scenarios that I think could possibly take place for book 2. I don’t think I have been obsessed with a couple like this since…..well actually I think it was Tristan and Danika and that was only last week but still. This couple is one that is going to stay with me, right on up there with Gideon and Eva; Christian and Ana and James and Bianca...
My favorite part of the book that has stayed in my head... "But it wasn't just his incomparable beauty and exquisite display of male sex that had me burning between my legs and searching for the nearest exit. It was how he looked at me, in a way that no man had ever looked at me, a hungry possessiveness present in his stare as if he not only had undressed me in his mind, but had claimed me to be sated by no one ever again except him"... Gosh, i'm drooling all over the place !! :)
I so loved the Narration by Carly Robins, the voice she uses for Hudson is soooo Very Sexy, oh Yummy... I have already grabbed book two and three and can't wait for more Sexy time with this wonderful couple :)
"Exciting, Complex Relationships"
Laurelin Paige brings you in to her story and doesn't let you go. The craziness of the relationship between Alayna and Hudson is romantic until you begin to understand the sickness behind their connection. Their chemistry doesn't have a chance with the lies between them, or does it? The narrator does a good job of conveying the different personalities of the characters. However, sometimes I'm not sure who is talking. I will move on to volume 2 in this series just to see where this story goes.
"Great story but need more!"
The story and plot grabbed my attention, but there were a few thing preventing it from being a five star.
The relationship between Alayna and Hudson moved pretty quick. I almost didn't understand how they got to the sexual aspects before knowing anything about each other. It was more insta lust and the the "proposal".
I did like the back story of both of their "unhealthy" issues and that seemed to set them on similar levels. I liked how Paige walked me through Alayna's steps and how she continues to overcome.
The performance was ok. Often times Robins would confuse character voices which then confuses me of who was speaking. I hope that is not the case in the next book in the series.
"couldn't stop listening to it! "
I couldn't stop listening to it! I love being taken to a different place .
"great.. loved it!"
reminded me of a different form of fifty shades of grey... This was a great book!
"Yea! Something New for Erotica!"
At first this book took me a while to get into, but once I did, I was hooked. What I loved best about this story is, like most erotica, he is rich and they are both damaged in some way, but they seemed like normal people. There was one point when I was like, "Something is strange." And then it hit me, he had her wear the same dress to two events right up against each other. He was not flaunting his money all over the place.
My favorite character was either Alayna or Mirabelle. I loved Alayna because she was trying to work through her issues and Mirabelle for her loving attitude.
My favorite scene was maybe at the Fashion Show and Alayna gives Hudson's mother the what for.
Yes, I would love to read this book in one sitting. I practically did. I think it took me two days to read this book!
This book brought something new to the erotica scene. The concept was interesting and why they got together was not just because he saw her and had to have her. There was a reason. I liked that idea.
