Catherine Pope gets a second chance at love only to have it ripped away--again. She should've known better.
But she dared to hope.
She refuses to let fate take the reins this time. Catherine decides she's going to fight.
Jackson Cole risked it all.
He thought this time would be different.
With his loyalties pulling him in two directions, it's time to make a choice: his past or his future.
Will they be beholden to their fears, or will they both fight against their demons and finally find the love for which they both long?

Congrats to Corinne for her debut Duet!!
I love Jackson!
It was easy to relate to Catherine in some aspects & knowing where some of the deeper moments come from touched my heart.
All emotions with this one!
"Jackson Cole !"
This is such an emotional read with characters that are very relatable. They are seeking love, trust, friendship and honesty all while battling and coming to terms with the memories of their past. The narrator's do an outstanding job in this audio! I found myself listening to and savoring each word.I didn't want it to end. They really brought the author's story to life!
They read the story with such love. I felt like they brought forward every emotion of the story as if they were experiencing it themselves. They are definitely two of my new favorite narrator's!
The Belonging Duet is a must read and or listen series! Jackson and Catherine are amazing and endearing characters that I believe everyone must meet.
"Beautiful Ending to A Love Story"
This second book in their love story is still filled with sweetness, sadness, friendships and romance but there's now a new strength and purpose. With the dual narration that only adds to the story, listeners will be pulled right into their world. Good read/ listen.
"Crappy Story Great Performance"
If you enjoy needless drama and tons of repetition of feelings this is certainly the book for you.
Really the only redeeming quality are the voices. Hollie and Ryan both have great voices and I look forward to listening to other stories they have read.
This book seriously did not live up to the first one. I just could not understand how the main character was unwilling to even talk about all of the issues that were happening and just assumed everything was wrong and at its worst possible. Cat gave no opportunity for anyone to explain and because of it she was an annoying character that got on my nerves and had me skipping chapters.
Eventually I just went to the prologue heard the ending and was done with it. Overall a pretty frustrating and disappointing listen.
"Good but not great"
Partially my fault for reading the Consolation duet first, but I felt like Beholden was drawn out and predictable. I knew from the other duet that they ended up together and what Jacksons "secret" was, but I felt like the big reveal lacked something. I enjoyed the narrators in this series, though they seemed a bit melodramatic at times. I'm HOPING there might be a book or two written about Mark and Ashton (hint hint, wink wink). Overall, good series and happy to have discovered this author.
"JACKSON COLE TAKES OVER YOUR WORLD"
Beloved was one my top read this year, so when Corinne pushed out Beholden so quickly I was more than excited to read this because lets face it, Beloved left you with a cliff hanger that made you throw your book across the room. Corinne likes to do that to us.
Beholden started where Beloved ended, so if you haven't read Beloved than don't read this review. Minutes,seconds... that's all we knew.. would Jackson be alive or face the ultimate sacrifice.. death. Well we know the latter didn't happen because there wouldn't be a book #2, but...... to end Beloved not knowing what could happen was just evil! :)...
We are left with a prologue that has your stomach all twisted, wondering where Catherine Pope was at the point of time- who's funeral- was it Jackson's??
Over all I hate to mention anything about the book other than you must read it! I know pretty vague right? But one ounce of info shared could ruin a story for others. If you asked me which book I liked better, I would say that Beloved will stay with me, however, Beholden had just amount of goodness, feel goods and intensity. Corinne was able to demonstrate the endless possibilities of friendship, grief, love and happily ever after. I loved Jackson and Catherine's story, Jackson fought hard for what he wanted and portrayed to be a strong man who didn't just love once but twice, and he had to learn to trust his love with someone new. He has experienced so much heartache in life, that he was sure that the one person who fell in his lap that one time was his forever.
Corinne is not done with these characters, Catherine and Jackson's story may be over, but there's a whole new story for their friends.
HOLLIE AND RYAN NAILED CATHERINE AND JACKSON.
I love this story and the narrators do a great job bringing it to life.
"Horrid narrator, but good story."
Hollie Jackson ruins this book...I listened to it (as opposed to reading it) because didn't want to dedicate too much time to the book. I really wish they would hire a decent narrator for Corinne Michaels books.
"oh the feels"
Love this book! My question is why doesn't Ryan Hudson narrate more?? Love his voice
Loved it. I liked the second book better than the first. Can't wait for more books. I see great potential. Enjoyed your books immensely. Thank you
