Couldn't get passed the first chapter, the narrator is literally reading it for the first time like she has no idea of pitch or tone, there s no difference between characters and she slows down when there's a sentence made up of a string of difficult words. Am going to apply for my money back on this one. Didn't get to hear the story so unfair to rate it so low but couldn't do otherwise.
"Loves the story but the narrator is horrible"
The story is great. It kept me intrigued and wanted to keep listening. The worst part was listening to the narrator. She was horrible.
I like the story, but it took all I had to finish listening to this audible. Chapter 11 recording was horrible. Didn't anyone review this recording? It's a shame.
"Good book and start of promising series!"
Enjoying the book but very disappointed that the remaining books do not come in audio. Why do one and not the rest?
"didn't like the audible"
the story line was good but the narrator not much. everything sounded like a runoff sentence. You couldn't tell when who was talking.
"a little disappointed with the narration"
I enjoyed the storyline very much but was disappointed by the delivery. The narrator put very little emotion or empathy into the delivery of the story & I found I had to listen very carefully to pick up on which character was involved & when. Basically I got the jist.
"Horrible performance but good story"
No, I will read the next books in the series. The recording was awful. Ended up reading the last part of the story as I couldn't listen any longer.
Because of the plot I was kept interested but the audio recording and narrator sucked . Please used different recording device and narrator!!!!!!!!
loved the story...good lead woman role. love it! I can't wait for the next book!
"Better off reading instead of listening."
The production was really bad!! I thought the story was interesting and the narrator was OK, but the production was the worst I've ever heard.
"Reading paperback was better"
I didn't like narrator I just felt like she was just reading the book line bye line no emotion nothing same tone for every character I was waiting so long for this book to come out on audible cause I love this series.
