After witnessing an execution, a resourceful young woman attempts to disappear while being pursued by a hitman and a handsome federal agent.
A helicopter pilot, Jackie Remus, reluctantly agrees to go on a date with one of her clients, but her date is unexpectedly cut short when she witnesses a man being murdered. After narrowly escaping with her life, she is placed into protective custody. When the safe house is breached, Jackie makes a daring escape from both the hired killers and the handsome FBI agent, who wants to return her to protective custody. With a little help from her sly and crafty friend, Monroe, Jackie is convinced she can disappear until the trial. While on her journey to meet with her friend, she solicits help from a few shady but lovable characters along the way. Although she manages to stay one step ahead of the hired killers, the federal agent remains in hot pursuit. Will Jackie reach Monroe before she's captured by the FBI and returned to protective custody? Or will the hired killers silence her first?
Witness Protection is a romantic thriller with some scenes of violence, mild gore, moderate foul language, and intense sexual situations. Holly Copella's books do not contain graphic sex scenes.

Narrator yes, he is not too bad.
Not too bad
All of them
This author has a limited vocabulary. The story idea is not bad, but for heaven's sake, get a dictionary!
This is my first audiobook by HOLLY COPELLA . The plot keeps you wanting never to put it down. Holly has you wanting to be in Witness Protection. Highly recommended
"Decent story and good narration."
This was a decent story. It kept my attention to keep listening. I liked Jackie a lot, she kicked butt, and had a lot of spunk. No crybaby heroine here. This wasn't much of a romance but that was okay.
The story line and plot was good. Fast paced, action, shootouts, fighting, murder and mystery. The story flowed very well from beginning to end.
As for the narration, it was pretty good. The narrator did a good job on the female voice and read with emotion. I would listen to him again for sure.
"Love kick-ass heroines.."
Picture this: A guy walks up to you in a closed library, he’s handsome as all get out, he’s sweet and funny and you flirt with each other, he gives you his card and tells you to call if you ever need anything and you spend a few minutes having sexual thoughts about him as he walks away. A woman behind you sighs romantically and refers to him as “dreamy” (and I’m thinking this is the hero) and in a few minutes they’re both dead! What..The.. Hell? I absolutely hate it when an author gives you a few minutes to get to know someone really nice, grow to like them, and then kills them off. I have no idea how many times I thought about Harris and Vicki through the rest of the book. It was somewhat ruined for me with that bit of crap happening. I can’t read anything else by this author. Melinda Leigh did that same thing in Hour of Need and I was soooo ticked off at that book, just like this one. If you’re going to kill people off that’s fine BUT don’t let us get to know and like them first. AND THEN she did it again later on in the book. It definitely lost a star because of those two things. As much as I liked the story I couldn’t wait for the book to be over because I worried about whether or not she’d kill Holden off.
That being bitched about let me tell you that Jackie will, without a doubt, kick your butt, and make funny sexual remarks to you, and make you laugh at some of the goofy things she says. I loved her. She was one tough chick. With the killers after her, and the FBI (Holden) after her, to protect her, she was plenty capable of staying hidden and taking care of herself. The one bad guy, Dexter, she totally kicked his butt, while the guys stood around watching. Monroe said it was good “therapy” for her.
I loved Jackie’s father’s old SEAL teammates: Monroe, (crazy) Zach, Ross, Beck, Gil and Kirk. They were all about protecting her from the killers, too.
So, there was an erection mentioned a time or two, for Jackie to make fun of, because of the way they came about. However, there was no sex. Once it started it was fade-to-black. There was swearing and the F-bomb was used 7 times.
As to the narration: He was damn good. His men had sexy voices and the women sounded like women, and he read with terrific emotion. I would definitely listen to Tim Lundeen again.
"What an amazing Rollercoaster! I loved this book!"
Wow! Just wow! I absolutely loved this audiobook! This is NOT one of my favorite genres so it took me by surprise how much I enjoyed this book!
It is action packed from beginning to end! There is great humor, suspense, and some romance mixed in.
I love Jackie! She is an amazing character! Such an amazing talented women with kick ass moves!
There are several interesting characters in this book. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Seals that were in her Dad's unit in the next few books (hopefully!).
Holden is an uptight Federal Agent that seems to be all business 100% of the time! Jackie slowly cracks his outer shell while driving him insane chasing her for most of the book! Lol
The author did a great job bringing the story to life. It held my complete attention from beginning to end! Best of all, No cliffhangers!!!

"IS THERE A 2ND BOOK??"
Actually, yes, I found that there is. This book is very, very good. I loved the author's development of the characters and their relationships. Jackie is an unwilling witness of a couple of murders and the FBI puts her, or rather, attempts to put her in protective custody until the men responsible are taken to trial. Unfortunately, things don't quite go as planned. The intense action, fantastic humor and the sexual tension all make for wonderful story. Tim Lundeen does a great job of developing the character's voices, keeping them each separate and in character along the way. The humor that is portrayed in the story is felt in the voices. I could have easily have been listening to a movie. I look forward to book 2.
"TOTALLY SURPRIZED ME"
I was given this book by the author/narrator/publisher for an horns review through Audiobook Boom.
I skimmed the entire book list after choosing from my automatically forwarded genre and decided to ask for a copy. I'm glad I did. This is a fast-paced, twisting story with likable characters and no cliffhanger. I prefer more graphic sex scenes but with all the Alpha males, I didn't need any. I loved the Seals, of course. Holden? Well, he was a bit weak, underestimating a woman and missing the connection to a leak after she's located several times. But, he continued to be portrayed as strong despite the circumstances.
I want to know more about the crazy SEAL. I can't tell if I'll get that from the write ups on book two and three.
Narration was great. Story... great. Thumbs up here!
"Worth The Credit!!"
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book is definitely worth your time and credit. It is well written, humorous, interesting, engaging and very entertaining. The story has the perfect balance of humor, suspense and action with a bit of romance.
Even though you know who the bad guy is and there is no mystery to solve, Jackie's adventures in trying to stay one step ahead of him and his goons as well as the FBI is an entertaining adventure from start to finish.
Jackie was an awesome character. Independent, headstrong, intelligent and funny. All of the characters were great. Every member of the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot team deserves their own story.
This is a book I will be recommending often. This is the first book by Holly Copella that I have listened to, but it won't be the last. If the rest of her books are this good I've been missing out. There are at least 2 other books in the Witness Protection series and hopefully they will be on Audible soon.
Tim Lundeen did a great job with the narration. Nice voice. Easy to listen to. Good character voices. Great delivery of the characters and the humor. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. He was able to bring the characters and the story to life. All around very enjoyable.
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher.
"Amazing suspects. ! Great narration too!!"
From the very first page until the final one...exciting! if this becomes a series I'll be Looking forward to following the exciting adventures...l love his character...in fact all the people involved are interesting. Just read , listen and enjoy.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review."
"A Great idea for a book..."
The main thing that I liked was that Jackie, the main character in the book, knew, really knew, how to take care of herself. She could even take care of the FBI agent who was 'assigned' to take her back into witness protection better than what he could do himself.
Jackie; she's a tough girl and knows what needs to be done and gets it done herself.
He knows how to read a book; his pitch in voice is perfect for reading aloud. I highly recommend reading any of the books he reads aloud.
No, not really.
I received this audiobook as a gift from the author and am happy to leave my honest review in thanks. I really enjoyed this story! I can't always say that and I hate leaving bad reviews, so I am happy that this was not the case. I enjoy mysteries, and this one had plenty of action, a strong female lead and it was well written. It also was not a cliffhanger, which I have come to abhor!! I loved the characters, and am hoping there will be more books based on some of them. Looking forward to more books by this author. The narration was great, too!
