The door to the past is blown wide open when Caleb Anderson, a private investigator, shows up at the mansion. He believes several current missing-persons cases are linked to the house and its dark past. Working together to find the connection and stop a contemporary killer, Sarah and Caleb are compelled to research the history of the haunted house, growing closer to each other even as the solution to the murders eludes them.
But there is one who knows the truth...a spirit who follows every move they make. Soon Caleb begins to fear that if he can't stay a step ahead, he could lose Sarah to a killer with an ability to transcend time in a quest for blood and sacrifice.

"If you like to listen to books this one is great"
This is great. I love Heather Graham. I just wished there were more by her
"Heather graham. Awesome"
I love her books. She always keeps me intrigued Always suspenseful Looking for more one book at a time
"Disappointed to say the least"
Story presented three mysteries at core. Left us hanging for the answer with no explanation for one. Solving or explaining third mystery.
No. I have read many of her books.
Big disappointment and confusion.
"Narrator was annoying."
The story was pretty good but I couldn't really enjoy it because of the narrator.
Write dialog for an adult book and not for preteen literature. The characters were supposed to be college educated professionals, not 12 year old's on an adventure.
The narrator was awful. She made all the female characters sound like airheads that were about 12 years old. All the guys sounded like stupid jocks who were still in junior high school. She should have been narrating a cartoon adventure.
Disappointment. I actually couldn't finish the book because of the narration.
"Oh my Gosh a GHOSSS....... snore"
This was not the right role for her. The story was really supposed to have more of a black magic feel about it and her performance was like someone narrating a "Scooby Doo" episode
disappointment. It was just not very well done.
"Narrator Hard to Listen To"
Not really. Still listening to it and the reader is not that good. All the girls sound like airheads and the guys' voices are horrible.
It doesn't. So far, the story line isn't thrilling me either.
I have to listen in small doses. Her voices for females makes them sound like airheads and the guys sound like your typical stupid jock.
Once you've heard Luke Daniels, no one else compares.
Still thinking about it.
