Summary

In a world violated by terror, the old lines have blurred. Meet the next generation of covert ops.

John Dempsey's life - as an elite Tier One Navy SEAL named Jack Kemper - is over. A devastating terrorist action catapults him from a world of moral certainty and decisive orders into the shadowy realm of espionage, where ambiguity is the only rule. His new mission: hunt down those responsible for the greatest tragedy in the history of the US Special Ops and bring them to justice.

But how does a man torn between duty and revenge walk the line and preserve his soul?

As Dempsey struggles with the games of spies, the case propels him across the globe in a desperate effort to prevent a new, horrifying attack on American soil.

Once, John Dempsey followed orders blindly. Now he sees behind the curtain, and the security of the civilized world rests on one question: Can a Tier One Navy SEAL adapt and become the world's most lethal spy?

Superb, gripping and fast paced

From start to finish, this was a non stop ride of action, suspense and the evident evolving nature of the main character from a Navy Seal operator to a spy. Ray Porter is at the top of his game, as always. Can't wait to start the next book in the series!

Exciting!

If you ignore the insanity of Iran being able to work with Al-Qaida then this is a great story. The SEAL team stuff is incredible and great fun. The plot is pretty cool and it's real boy own adventure. Not sure I'd have been able to read it, but as an audiobook it's so well read that I enjoyed it.

Enjoyable!

Full of punch, fight and teeth-gritting paranoia. Definitely one of the best thrillers, I have ever listened to.

Same Skill Set - New Rules!

This is a thoroughly intriguing novel. Not just your usual Navy Seals or CIA tale. It's a proper amalgam of the two, with FBI/HRT elements thrown in.

If you enjoy any element of this kind of adventure, you will certainly enjoy this. I discovered it as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription and shall seek out the other 3 books in this 4 book series.

Action

I can not imagine any one else narrating this book but Ray Porter. You can feel the Tier One operator in his voice .

Thrilling action right from the start, gets you hooked straight away. The main character is the leader of a SEAL team . The first part of the book is really a straight thriller but the rest of the book is then more a combination of espionage and thriller . The book has a twists.

If you get the kindle book, it helps with all the abbreviations. There was a scene when a character mentions how her husband goes off into abbreviation's and she then replies back in text speech. It made me chuckle.
