"One of the most potent voices in contemporary Scottish fiction." (Herald)
"Intelligent, entertaining, gripping and well written." (Ian Rankin)
I listen to books on my ipod as I drive so I may have missed bits. But I got to the end and thought this had so much potential but! If I had been reading this book I would have given up looked at the ending and thought it wasn't worth finishing. I was disappointed with the it, but like so many books the beginning and the middle is good and it runs out of steam for the end.
"The Stranger from Home (Unabridged)"
A flimsy plot, unconvincing characters and immature writing style
