Summary
Northamptonshire, 1810: As a new canal network snakes across the landscape, a vicious mob stakes its claim to the county. Every local constable is out on the hunt for the ruthless Panther Gang. Enjoyable old fashioned detective story
This is the fourth novel in the series I've listened to and, like the others, found it an intriguing and well-plotted story. Well-rounded characters, especially Inspector Lavender and his side-kick Ned Woods. The postscript to the book tells how the story has some basis in fact, but has been embellished by the author to make the outcome neater.
The narrator is very good.

The Sculthorpe Murder
I have really enjoyed this book. The narrator was brilliant. The plot was very well worked. I highly recommend this book and book 1 and 2 that went before. A really lovely read. I am looking forward to book 4 in the series.
