"Should be read for atmosphere and fascinating applications of logical sequences to crime-scene investigation." (Booklist)
"Math and murder mingle in this intriguingly cerebral mystery....a stylish, intellectually meaty whodunit." (Publishers Weekly)
"[This] elegant, fashionable, award-winning novel mixes murder with modern mathematical theory....Soft-spoken, smart, and satisfying." (Kirkus Reviews)
The inclusion of mathematical theories in a mystery novel was a neat idea. Unfortunately the mystery element was nothing special and worked out in quite a silly and disappointing way. As an audiobook for British listeners it is also rather frustrating. A central character is a Scot, however the narrator's Scottish accent is abysmal.
