When three strangers, Henry, Susan, and Gil, discover a corpse partially consumed by deadly eels, they have no way of knowing that it will lead to a confrontation with the devil.
The Night Warriors are a group of ordinary people who face extraordinary challenges. By entering people's dreams they confront evil head-on - which, in this case, presents itself in the form of legendary devil, Yaomauitl whom they must defeat to save the waking world from wide-scale catastrophe.
Often compared to its cinematic equivalent, the Nightmare On Elm Street series, this was the first novel to include fantasy alongside the horror - a resoundingly successful move, succeeding at virtually every level. Exciting and imaginative - and, at times, extremely gruesome. After 35 years in which he established himself as one of the world's bestselling horror authors, Graham Masterton has turned his hand to crime. Drawing on the five years in which he and his late wife Wiescka lived in Cork, in southern Ireland, he has created a series of novels featuring Katie Maguire, the first woman detective superintendent in An Garda Siochána, the Irish police force.
Graham was born in Edinburgh in 1946, the grandson of John Masterton, the chief inspector mines for Scotland, and Thomas Thorne Baker, a scientist who was the first man to send news pictures by radio. After joining his local newspaper at the age of 17 as a junior reporter, he was appointed deputy editor of Mayfair the men's magazine at the age of 21. At 24 he became executive editor of Penthouse.

I've read the book and now listened to it on Audible. It really is a fantastic story that is enhanced by great narration. I really do hope that Audible will release the entire Graham Masterton horror library.
"Graham Masterton Delivers!"
This is the first in the Night Warriors series, and these books are my absolute favorites from a true master of horror. Graham Masterton manages to take mythology and just run with it in ways that really encourage looking at the world in new, and utterly terrifying, ways. I cannot recommend his books strongly enough. If you want true terror that actually makes you think, leave behind the others and try anything by Graham Masterton!
The plot will keep you on the edge of your seat-you will find yourself wanting to know more and more about the Night Warriors and also just how will this whole story end??
No...but I did. Good thing it was a long drive, or I would've been doing laps around the city!
Please do the other books in the Night Warriors series, and the Manitou books, and Walkers, another winner from a true horror master(ton)!
