Summary
Private eye Casey Cook lands her first case, and it's a doozy: find a missing comatose woman. Eager to prove herself, Casey does whatever it takes to get answers, from pretending to be pregnant to fawning over a hairless cat.

Cute story and easy listen.
A cute story about a detective who first case involved locating a missing person. The story is engaging and sweet. Dont read this expecting a complicated detective story or eroticism. Its a simple pleasant story about a woman starting out as a PI and working to solve a case.There is a developing romance between the detective and a woman her grandmother match makes her with, which ends with a kiss. I enjoyed the story, and it filled a number of hours pleasantly. I would say the story is is well suited for a younger or teen reader and is pleasant. If there where more stories from this author, narrator and in the same vain, I would be happy to purchase them and listen to them.

I enjoyed this nice little light-hearted romp.
This was a nice light-hearted romp into the land of PI Casey Cook and her first case. There is nothing taxing about the plot, although there are humorous moments sprinkled throughout the book. It reminded me of the Stephanie Plum novels in that respect although there are distinct differences.
I also liked the fact the the story wasn't padded out by unnecessary plot-lines. Some stories deserve to be longer, but some need to be kept a bit shorter to work. This was one of the works that didn't need to be stretched out beyond what it was.
Good job by the narrator as well, better than some out there. Plus the recording wasn't as poor as some have been.
Nothing here to tax the old grey matter, but if you want to wile away a few hours one long afternoon, then this should do the trick nicely. I would certainly look at buying any sequels that might be about.
