I have read and thoroughly enjoyed all the books and short stories in the Seventeen Series. The books are the real meet on the bones, but these short stories give you that wonderful taste of the back stories of the main protagonists and help you to understand where they come from and how they tick. This short story takes place before the first book in the series, Hunted (previously Soul Meaning), and describes the original meeting between the books main male protagonists, Lucas Soul and Reid Hasley. Well narrated and great to see the first meetings of two strong and determined characters
"Review of The Meeting"
This short story starts out making you actually think "what is happening" (especially if you haven't read Hunted). I love how it shows the way Lucas and Reid meet and eventually work together, basically how it all began. The Narrator's voice is almost a match of how I heard Soul in my head.
This is the third in the Seventeen series and we skip ahead even more to the first meeting between Lucas and Reid, and how their partnership comes to be. This is a great backstory to the full book "Soul Meaning" as all of the novellas I have listened to so far have been. Michael Bower is back as narrator on the audiobook and doing a awesome job as always, he has really made these characters his own, I can't say enough good words about how awesome he is narrating these books. It seems A.D. Starrling writes them just for him to narrate, I am not sure but I hope the duo keeps on going.
