Summary

Lisbeth Salander is a wanted woman. Two Millennium journalists about to expose the truth about sex trafficking in Sweden are murdered, and Salander's prints are on the weapon. Her history of unpredictable and vengeful behaviour makes her an official danger to society - but no-one can find her.

Mikael Blomkvist, Millennium magazine's legendary star reporter, does not believe the police. Using all his magazine staff and resources to prove Salander's innocence, Blomkvist also uncovers her terrible past, spent in criminally corrupt institutions. Yet Salander is more avenging angel than helpless victim. She may be an expert at staying out of sight - but she has ways of tracking down her most elusive enemies.

Better than ever

I'd recommend listening to the "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" first, becase the central characters walk fully-drawn into this new drama. It starts very slowly, and as a listener it is initially difficult to keep track of the web of new characters. Then suddenly you're in, living the story as the tension mounts and mounts. It's unbearble and wonderfully done - a great book.

Salanda

This book builds greatly on the first . I even it enjoyed it more the the Dragon Tatoo, as it had deeper insight than the first book.

Fantastic!!

The final book of this trilogy was great. He was such an amazingly gifted author and I feel very lucky to have found these books that I enjoyed so much. I’m sure it won’t be too long before I will start them all over again just for pure pleasure.

Despite a far fetched ending, a wonderful book.

A great narrator and right up to the end the story was believable but although the ending was hard to believe but I gave it the benefit of the doubt.

I will certainly be looking forward to more books from the series.

I Couldn't Stop Listening!

I have watched the film 'The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo' - the new version, so I have a mental picture of the main protagonist which helped with visualisation. Her character is strong and determined, I imagine in real life this woman would have given up on life as a young child. This original audio version of book 2 in the trilogy was fabulous, it followed on perfectly. I'm now a big fan of Stieg Larsson's writing and have just purchased Book 3 - 'The Girl who Kicked The Hornets Nest'. 25 hours of a wonderful performance by a fantastic narrator to look forward to!
