"It is not the end!"
Yes, there is a flavor of a finale, without giving anything away, you will realize with the new developments, the storyline has opened a whole new direction for our favorite characters. I did check on E J Copperman site to assure myself and discovered Berkeley publishing has decided not to renew this series but another publishing house has opted the series for at least 2 more books, hopefully many more. Yay, big sigh of releif. The next in the series currently scheduled for 2018.
I adore this series it's fun, with great repartee between the character. Equal parts mystery and fantasy, throw in some snark wonderfully portrayed by the talented Amanda Ronconi and you're in for a rollicking good time! The books are stand alone but if you want to thoroughly enjoy this series start at the beginning. If you love paranormal mysteries with humorous repartee this series is a must. Stop reading if you are sold. Not sold yet, consider this...after sustaining a bump on the head you can suddenly see and talk to ghosts, and these ghosts can contact other ghost, one of these books has John Lennon and "friends" jamming in your bed breakfast. One of the ghost isn't wild about how you are decorating your house and employs inventive way of expressing displeasure, one a frustrated detective knocked off on his very first case. If ever I need my "spirits" lifted l find myself frequently revisiting this favorite ghost series. Guaranteed fun!
"love this series"
all her books are really good. i like to be able to listen to the stories and do my work at the same time. some of the characters make me laugh. thank you.
I really love this series. I hope there will be more of them. The characters are very likable and I can't always figure out who the bad guy is. Very enjoyable
"As good or better than the rest!"
I have read each book in this series at least 6 times, please don't let this end, I'm hooked!! The writing is humorous and snarky and so fun to listen to! I love the twists and turns. I'm truly hoping this is not the end!!!
"Best book in the series!"
I have enjoyed this series very much. I honestly did not expect much from this book. I was afraid the old formula would just be...well, old. I'm happy to report that the author took this story in a different direction and it was wonderful. I feared this was going to be the last book in the series, and plot points actually tend to confirm that fact. Fortunately, it appears that a new publishing house has contracted to publish two more stories in this series, which makes me very happy.
This book brings "the swine" back to town. He is, as usual, up to no good and has gotten himself in trouble with some big time bad guys. A murder occurs, the swine is a suspect...or is he? Then, we look at Paul, our house bound ghost who wants nothing more than to move onto the next level of existence. From there hilarity ensues and leads to a very satisfactory conclusion and possible new direction for these wonderful characters. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
Is this the end of a great series with great characters. If it is I'm so sad
"I love this series"
I love the way E.J. Copperman writes, it's as if the main character is speaking to you. Amanda Ronconi gives a perfect performance, bringing all the characters to life and giving them distinct voices. I highly recommend this series and suggest starting at the very beginning of the series.
"Love this book, as I do the series"
This series just gets in your heart. Great characters read by the best narrator ever!
This is the best in the series. I have a feeling it's the end. If so, I will be sad because I have really enjoyed it. If not, then, I look forward to the next one.
I hope this is of the wrap-up to the series, it is one of my quirky cozy mysteries. It feels too much like a series finale.
I was a little bit disappointed by Amanda Ronconi's performance in this one. Don't get me wrong, I have grown to like her performances and have bought books because she was the narrator, but in this one she seems to loose the characters' voices occasionally.
I recommend this series. Read them in order from the beginning.
