Summary

Where there's smoke, there's fire - and no one knows this better than New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. The bail bonds office has burned to the ground, and bodies are turning up in the empty construction lot. To make matters worse, Stephanie is working out of a motorhome she shares with a dancing bear, and Joe Morelli's old world grandmother has declared a vendetta against her.

And just when Stephanie decides it might be time to choose between the two men in her life, Morelli and Ranger, a third man from Stephanie's past moves back to Trenton....

Smokin' Seventeen : Stephanie Plum, Book 17

Stepanie is on the slide, as a fan from book one would say that much of the book is telling you the same old stuff once again; in fact the last few books of the series are tired!

Love it!

I have been reading the Plum serious for years and loving it but stopped at Sixteen as felt as if the story lines were repetitive. Decided to try audio version and glad I did. I enjoyed it so much and will definitely try the audio versions of the rest of the series. Forgotten how much I enjoyed them.

Stephanie Plum does it again.

How can one woman get herself in so many fixes? I was laughing out loud at 2am ......her problems with Ranger should be mine. Excellent entertainment from Janet Evanovich.

Entertaining story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I listened to this book post a hospital stay - was perfect. The story was light but engaging and it was well read.

If you’ve listened to books by Janet Evanovich before, how does this one compare?

I would say this is up there with other Janet Evanovich books; my first audio version but have read quite a few.

What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?

Her reading definitely helped add another dimension to the story and kept me engaged.

Fabulous!

I have read Janet Evanovich's books for years and find the Stephany Plum books so hysterically funny.... Listening to the stories now on audio is a great sole relaxer...Comedy at it's best, brilliantly dramatised by the narrator, leaves me utterly engrossed and entertained... From Grandma Mazer, to Ranger via Plum's mishaps with Lula.... Just love, love, love this book and the whole manic Plum, the Bounty Hunter misfortunate sagas !!! just wonderful! thank you ....
