Publisher's Summary

Eric can't remember the recurring dream that keeps waking him in the middle of the night with an overwhelming urge to leave, yet he spends each day feeling as if he desperately needs to be somewhere. With no idea how to cure himself of this odd compulsion, he decides to let it take its course and go for a drive, hoping that once he proves to himself that there is nowhere to go, he can return to his normal life. Instead, he finds himself hurled headlong into a nightmare adventure across a fractured Wisconsin as the dream reveals itself one heart-pounding detail at a time.

    "Great Listen"
Where does Rushed rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Would not say the absolute best listen, but was a very good listen

What about Eric Michael Summerer’s performance did you like?

I really liked how he portrayed each character. The personality of each character came through with his different inflections of each.

If you could rename Rushed, what would you call it?

    Dream Compulsion

    Any additional comments?

This book is by no means one that will keep you awake at night with things that go bump, but, it does let your imagination run wild with the description of the creatures Eric comes across in his day of travel. The humor between the main character Eric and wife is very entertaining. I look forward to the next in the series.

"A ONE STAR REVIEW in less than 5 HOURS? Hmmm..."
    Any additional comments?

Not trying to harp on this ONCE again, but this trend of people POORLY rating audiobooks that came out less than 4-5 hours ago is RIDICULOUS! Not only is it UNFAIR & MISLEADING to the publishers, the Audible site, the author (likely trying to support themselves financially)...but MOST importantly, us the CONSUMERS.

I listen to around 4-5 audiobooks from Audible PER week, so I understand getting a DUD of an audiobook now and then. With Audible's No-Hassle Return Poiicy in effect, there is NO reason to poorly review a book based simply on first impressions, and that you have NOT completed (since cramming a 12 hour audiobook into 4 hours is impossible last time I checked).

If you are like myself, the most IMPORTANT aspect of whether I use a hard earned credit on an audiobook, is BASED on the REVIEWS...There is a reason Audible's rating sytem is starred in 3 distinct areas; to allow a FULL and knowledged review of the ENTIRE production. There is NO star-rating category for anything like "first minute impressions" or "How good was the INTRO" lol. If you dont like the book after an hour, FINE. If you know the narrator isn't great early on, FINE. But don't come handing out ONE-STAR ratings in categories you HAVE ZERO ground to give out...you MIGHT be able to rate the "perfomance" but your creidbility to rate the Overall & Story categories is NULL in any case...because you did NOT finish the BOOK!

FYI - As to NOT be partial in my rating of this title, I will update and provide a FULL REVIEW once I have completed this title. But something had to be said about the unfair, early reviews posted for so many new books lately :)

    "Worst book ever!"

A totally random and non-sensical story written as by a high schooler making things up on the go. Silly monsters and meaningless mysteries ... Oh, never mind. A total waste of time.
The reading was passable. A bit self-conscious and pompous.

"Different from what I usually listen to."
What did you love best about Rushed?

    It was DIFFERENT!

Would you recommend Rushed to your friends? Why or why not?

No. Most of my friends don't like what I like.

What does Eric Michael Summerer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Yes.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Kind of, I found it mildly disturbing.

    Any additional comments?

I love books that have different periods, alternate realities, superpowers, something 'more.' I am not a fan of unnatural scary. This not necessarily a 'scary' story, I just found the imagery of the animals weird and disturbing, (but that is partly due to my imagination).

"Best Book I have read in a while"

Not my usual style of book although i thoroughly enjoyed it! Read front to back because i was unable to put down. i am greatly looking forward to the second book although that one does not come in audiobook format. Adventure, suspense, and even a little frightening. i found this book very thought provoking and found myself thinking of it weeks after i finished it.

    "interesting, different"

Started off so great. quirky banter between the characters. Kept me interested, and wondering what was happening. I did start loosing a little interest towards the end, some of it seemed to drag out a little. Somewhat repetitive from the different characters that joined in. Still a good read. If your looking for a different kind of mystery, this is a good one.

    "repetitive"

Story repeats information too often. Reads like it was written for teenagers or people with short . term memory loss, not adults. Mediocre plot at best.
