Summary

Melbourne, Australia: round one of the Formula One World Championship. Billy Hotchkiss no longer races a V8 Supercar, but that doesn't mean he's lost the need for speed. When the young cop uncovers a diamond heist in progress he leaps into action and almost captures the thieves. Lyon, France: Interpol are convinced the thieves are connected to Formula One. And they think this Australian ex-race driver is just the guy to stop them.

Sent undercover with an unwilling French partner, Billy is thrust into the glamorous world of international motor racing as the diamond heists continue. But as Billy closes in on the thieves a far more sinister threat is revealed.

With the fate of a city and the lives of half a million people in the balance, Billy will need to drive like never before to stop the worst act of terror since 9/11.

A really enjoyable story for any motorsports fan

Would you listen to Quick again? Why?

Yes I really enjoyed the fast action and engaging story

What did you like best about this story?

Its not often I have found fictional stories that involve modern Formula one stores and would really hope that audible have more stories like this soon as I would be downloading them

Have you listened to any of Sean Mangan’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I Would have preferred that he used miles per hour rather that kilometres per hour, but this might be a choice by the author

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Lots of twists and turns in the plot but I have to admit a slightly predictable ending

Any additional comments?

The narrator needs to work on his accents as his Australian at times to me sounds like he was auditioning for a part in a Charles Dickens play (i.e. something out of stereotypical Victorian England).
