Equally adept at putting together the pieces of a marriage or the fragments of a murder mystery, Mr Parker Pyne was possibly the world's most unconventional private eye, and certainly its most charming, as this collection of short stories reveals.

"Crimes of the heart were his forte." (Observer)
"These extend beyond the classic murders to oddities such as the exploits of Mr Parker Pyne, roly-poly 'specialist in every kind of human trouble' who will, for a fee, cure his clients of unhappiness."(The Sunday Times)
Hugh Fraser did his normal brilliant job of keeping the book alive
I'd not heard of this character so again it was a wild card, but it turned out to be subconsciously good.
All of 6he short stories were great and I throughly enjoyed them all.
I'm looking forward to hearing the next book Taken by the Flood
"Great stories and well read"
I do love a good murder mystery (or a few in this case) to listen to and Hugh Fraser reads the Parker Pyne stories brilliantly. Agatha Christie keeps you guessing as always. Entertaining and good value for money.
