Desperate for better ratings, radio psychologist Madeline Blair tells her listeners she's being stalked, unaware that her long-time listener and biggest fan, Seth Brown, will do anything to protect her. When her publicity stunt is revealed, Seth becomes enraged by her deceit and dangerously unhinged.
When her friends mysteriously begin to vanish and damning evidence points to Madeline, she turns to private investigator Lizzy Gardner for help. Lizzy knows her way around a murderer's mind, after surviving her own horrifying ordeal at the hands of a serial killer years ago.
As Lizzy closes in, Seth Brown is undeterred. Madeline wanted a stalker and now she has one. Nothing is going to stop him. He's obsessed.

Narrated really well. Seat of your pants ride. High body count. Where is the next one?
I listened through to the end of this but I'm not sure if I enjoyed it or not. I felt like it was much longer than 8hours or so. It didn't keep me engaged much, another one where my mind wandered off.
The narrator was ok. Characterisation via giving them voices was rather lame.
"Best in the series! GREAT CLIFFHANGER!!!!"
This book was really good and would fall in the top half of my books as opposed to the bottom.
I thought Kate Rudd did a fine job narrating. Although sometimes a little whiney, I can picture the character she is performing being the same.
OMG the END! I will not say more.
I think this was the best in the Lizzy Gardner series. Great plot, characters fleshed out, backgrounds filled in and a really twisted seriel killer who is OBSESSED. If you listened to the first 3 in the series and liked them, then there is no reason to even hesitate for a moment. This is certainly worth the $.
T. R. Ragen's Lizzy Gardner series keeps getting better. It would be difficult to imagine a more evil villain than the one in this book. Abducted, the first of the series, was a mild disappointment, but others are much better. Kate Rudd's narration is stellar.
"Not for me!"
Tried to get into this book but no luck. Dragged and was not believable. Too many characters that were BORING.
"I'm Obsessed with this series!"
Radio personality psychiatrist, Madeline Blair's, ratings are slipping. In a desperate attempt to draw attention to her show, she has her audience believing that she is the target of a stalker. But one listener takes her seriously - he thinks he has to protect Maddy. When the listener finds out Maddy has been lying to her listeners, his focus changes from protecting to teaching her a lesson. He becomes obsessed in his relentless pursuit.
"Kate is amazing"
Kate could narrate the dictionary and it would be entertaining. the book was OK but she has too many storylines going on at the same time that have nothing to do with each other makes an adhd very distracted.
"Average book with a really good cliffhanger"
I wish these books were longer and featured fewer characters. They do not delve deep enough into the story and they do not feature unique and complex characters. This is book four of six and I still feel as though I barely know Lizzy Gardner and friends. Character development is essential for a complicated and intriguing mystery. We haven't gotten there in these books. They read easily and quickly, but I do not leave the story grieving its end or thinking about the resolution and the future stories of the characters. I want to be challenged.
Kate Rudd continues to do an average job -- Im just not sure if it is the problems within the book or if it is her own issues with reading the story.
"Obsessed audiobook version"
The next installment in the Lizzy Gardner series rolls along at a fast pace. This book wraps up some of the stories started in earlier books and throws in a new adventure as well. Overall, I enjoyed the book. It moved right along and the reader did a very good job with the characters.
"Great but sad"
Loved the story but why Jared the narrator is wonderful as always and all the characters great
"You get what you paid for"
This is not a work of literature. It sounds more like a TV drama suspense script. The narrator does a great job at trying to make the book sound amazing but she just can't because of how poorly it is written. There are too many plots to follow. Too much of the same repeated detail and not enough story or character development. Although the story is intriguing, a middle schooler could write a better book than this. You get what you paid for. Don't expect much.
"WhisperSync Didn't Work, Book was great!"
If it would have worked, it would have been great! Unfortunately, it doesn't so I had to read the book. It's so much easier when I can carry about my day and listen.
Loved the book! T.R. Ragan writes phenomenally! I'm a big fan! I'll read all the books in this series eventually.
