"Great but too short"
I love this series, and this one was great as usual. The narrator (Susan Ericson) makes it come alive. My only objection to the short ones is they end too quickly and I miss some of the characters that don't have time to show up in the story.
To the reviewer that thinks Eve should get pregnant and have kids, Why do you read this series? There are plenty of series with lots of kids. I love Eve and Peabody just the way they are!!!
"Short but good"
I don???t know what some of the listeners are talking about. Even on Susan Erickson's worse day she is better than most. I won't continue reading the series if she doesn't narrate. She has had some off books with this series, but I would prefer her to anyone else. She brings the characters alive. She knows the characters and you can tell she is very familiar with the characters and how they interact with each other. A few books in the past you couldn't tell Peabody from Eve and a few others were a bit off, but overall Susan does an AWESOME job on the majority of the books and I feel she is just as much a part of the series as the characters. This was a small book. I wish the book was longer and more involved, but it was good for a quick read, fits the purpose. You are either a fan of the series or not. I do like some book more than others, but I have yet to listen or read one I didn't like. I can't wait for the next one. Sorry we have to wait so long. I like the series so much that in the interim, I listen to the older books over and over. I think this series is one of the best series J.D. Robb does.
"Great Short Mystery"
You really can't go wrong with JD Robb, and this book is no exception. Not only was it a good mystery, but there was also a tie-in with Eve's childhood experience. These small insights just enhance the overall storyline and bring the characters to life even more. It amazes me how these stories continue to unfold new and interesting plots while still holding true to the integrity of the characters and never giving over to the ridiculous. Other series writers (like Janet Evanovich!) should watch and learn how this is done by a master.
"First time J.D. Robb Audiobook"
After reading every J.D. Robb novel, I was so excited to give this book a listen. The story was rich and interesting as I expected. What I did not expect was hearing Peabody potrayed with a voice similar to the "Goofy" cartoon character. It was dissappointing to hear such an intelligent, insightful character played in such manner and detracted from the story. Give Peabody the voice she deserves...equal to Eve's partner.
This is actually book number 29.5 according to the publisher's daft numbering system.
"Another great audiobook in the In Death series!!"
As always, narrator Susan Erickson does a spectacular job in her performance of this book. Every book in the series is narrated by her and she has truly brought the characters to visual life for me and the way she interprets emotion and drama makes all these books superb! A+
"another great in death series story by JD Robb"
loved it as always I love all the characters I feel like I know them
"J D Robb Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!"
Great who done it! Keeps you on the edge of your seat! Susan Erickersen is
the best narrator for the Death Series! Awesome!!!!!!!!!
I love the story very intriguing. Even though it was a short story, well done. You have to listen or read the death series from the beginning (naked in death) . Readers complain about not liking this one or others series. They didn't have this person in or its to gruesome or she should have a baby. Cm on readers give it a rest. Just enjoy!!!
"death of a killer"
