Harlan Coben's thrilling second novel, now available as an unabridged audiobook.
Sara Lowell and Michael Silverman are the ideal celebrity couple: she's TV's most popular journalist and he's New York's hottest basketball star. Their lives would soon be shattered by Dr. Harvey Riker's clinic and the miracle cure that millions seek. One-by-one, his patients are getting well. And one-by-one, they are targeted by a serial killer more fatal than their disease....

I downloaded this thinking it was a new Coben who, on his day, is one of the sharpest writers around.
It wasn't - this is a real con; his second attempt at novel writing.
Set during the advent of the AIDS panic, it is weakly plotted with unbelievable characters. It is also hindered by the fact that time has moved on and thus is incredibly dated
Don't let this put you off Harlen Coben - his books after this one range from very good to great.
Wasa real great listen and I couldn't put my ear buds down!!!!!!! Plot really well disguised and unfolded really well. Another great listen!
With the highlight on AIDS this is a fantastic book and yet again Harlan Coben never lets me down... from start to finish the plot and the story keep you on the edge of the seat, you simply can't stop listening.
When I listened to the intro to this book I must admit I felt cheated. I hadn't realised Harlan had written this book so long ago, I think he said he was just 19. I expected it to be fairly rubbishy. However, I soon felt happier, it was a very good story, even though some aspects were obviously dated, the subject of DNA being introduced as very new. This book is much darker than the light-hearted and amusing Myron Bolitar books. It's not the best book I've read/listened to, but is very far from being the worst.
