Publisher's Summary

The heart-hammering thriller from the queen of the London crime scene. A serial killer is being closely watched by one young boy. Barney knows the killer will strike again soon. The victim will be another boy, just like him. He will drain the body of blood, and leave it on a Thames beach. There will be no clues for detectives Dana Tulloch and Mark Joesbury to find. There will be no warning about who will be next. There will be no good reason for young policewoman Lacey Flint to become involved . . . And no chance that she can stay away.

Like This, For Ever is published as Lost in the US.

This was a very unusual story, it was absolutely thrilling. Loved it didn't guess until near the end who was behind the killings. Well worth it

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book to people who like crime/thrillers.

What other book might you compare Like This, For Ever to, and why?

If you have read any other of S J Boltons books you will love this just as much, and if you haven't....what are you waiting for? They're fantastic! She is up there with the best of crime writers in my opinion: her stand alones (Sacrifice, Blood Harvest etc) are probably my favourites but this series with Lacey Flint is easily one of my favourite reads: pacey and enough mini twists to keep you guessing.

Have you listened to any of Lisa Coleman’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No I haven't but I do remember her as being an actress. She is a brilliant narrator and I would definitely check out other books narrated by her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not one that moved me, but the ending was a surprise, particulalry as I thought I had been clever and guessed early on. I like it when I'm proved wrong as it keeps it exciting.

    Any additional comments?

Ideally read as the latest in the series (so far of 3) as some of the characters re-appear, but it's not absolutely necessary and could still be read on its own.

    "Totally wow"

I now love this author. Thanks to Sharon Bolton i am now sleep deprived. This book had me hooked from start to finish, so much so i had it finished in one day. everyone seemed to be guilty for commiting these horrific crimes. Can't wait until i read the next book in this series but just need to sleep first. I'd highly recommend these books so far none have disappointed me.

Good story, well read but a bit predictable.

This is the best book in the series so far.

    "Extra good"

This latest Lacey Flint lives up to the excellence of the others. Lacey is off work on sick leave following the events in Cambridge in previous book ‘Dead Scared'.
D.I. Dana Tulloch is leading the search into the disappearance of five young boys under twelve years old.
The children are gradually found dead with their bodies drained of blood and then references to vampires are released frightening everyone. There is then suspicion that the killer is a woman.
This book was equally unputdownable and even though I thought I knew who was behind it I was totally wrong as usual with books by this author.
This is book 3 in Lacey Flint series. I would highly recommend it and I will be reaching for book 4 very soon.

"Another good story from Sharon Bolton"

I love all the books in this series - the secretive Lacy who has so much baggage that life is pulling her down. - the sad child who is finding it difficult to find his place and the story of kidnapping and murder that surrounds and draws them both in.

An avid reader / listener with eclectic taste from Terry Pratchett to Jane Austen and most stuff in between. (Not keen on horror though).

"Not her best but kept me hooked"
What other book might you compare Like This, For Ever to, and why?

    All Sj Bolton's previous books

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. Got a bit frustrated with the heroine.

    Any additional comments?

Kept me guessing and changing my mind as to who was guilty to near the end.
I preferred the one off stories the author started with, the returning characters in this book are rather annoying and not totally realistic.
