Jack Bloodfist fixes things. That's what his card says, anyway....
When the orcs and goblins of Summervale, Virginia, need something done, they call Jack. He's the one who convinces the local PD to ignore any tribal violence. The guy who makes sure the goblins aren't evicted whenever they do something decidedly goblin.
He also does the little things that no one else is willing to do. Like handing keys over whenever a prodigal son returns, or identifying the body of said prodigal.
Then there's the occasional murderous paladin and his vengeful god to deal with.
All in a day's work.

This. Was. Awesome!!!! It's the story of Jack Bloodfist. Jack is a fixer, or so they call him, he fixes things for the families, very mobesque ;) When goblins and orcs start turning up dead, it's up to Jack to figure out what's going on.
I loved Jack!! He is the go to man for his family and does at great job at what he does. When his friends start turning up dead and his family is in danger, Jack knows that he needs to get answers before it's too late. Jack also finds out some answers about himself and his abilities.
The plot of this was well written, fast paced and entertaining. The author really captured my attention right from the start and didn't let go till the very last page, and even then, I couldn't stop thinking about the book and hoping there will be another one soon!!!!
In all, this was a fun and exciting first book (in what I hope will become a series). I absolutely loved this and can recommend it to everyone. A fun, engaging and addictive book!!
Rich Remedios was amazing in his different tones and voices for each character. There are a lot and yet, I had no trouble distinguishing who was talking at any given time. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance.
*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*

"WOW! Worth the credit and more."
This was so good I completed it in a day and preparding to listen to it again. I had little expection during the prolouge. The prolouge is talking about light, dark, dead, dying, cast, down and higher order stuff. It was to philosophical to keep my attention. As soon as Jack begins to tell his story, I was engrossed. Jack is an orc. He is really an orc and goblin mixed. He polices the community as the peace maker between various races.
The races came to "this world" as a group with Jack's father as the leader. Of course there is story as to why so many kids are called Jack. Jack does not have magic or an innate ability to be conisdered "special".
If you like a lot of action with a little romance, and a sense of family with other wordly creatures this is it. No VAMPIRES. I love a good vampire story but this is a great with orcs, goblins, a gay werewolf and an elf. Jack has no problem kicking butt and doing the orcly thing when he has to.
Now why did I not give a the overall score a 5 star? The godly, magician, human and not any of the above stuff. How does one ascend to the level of a "god" and get dethrone? It does not seem like a big question but it is the prolouge of the story and the teaser in the epilogue.
So if you like a good vs evil story, with action, and a big loveable guy as the hero, this is it.
"So original and fun! :)"
There were so many interesting and different creatures in this story! This book was so original and unlike anything I've ever read. I really liked Jack as the main character. His job was like a cross between an FBI agent, and also being involved with the mob somehow. There was plenty of action, and it sucked me in right away. I liked that there was a little romance in the story, but it wasn't the main focus. The ending was perfect with everything being wrapped up, but we also got a peek into the future of the series. I really enjoyed this audiobook, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

"New Breed of Hero"
I really liked this story, however the narration was almost a deal breaker for me. The voices, especially Jack's were so monotone, it was hard to stick with it. I'm glad I did tho because it was really a great read.
Jack is a mix breed of goblin and orc, luckily he favors the orc side of his family. It begins with a low-end job as basically rent-a-security/errand runner for his community. The goblin side of the family run most of the businesses in town. They don't really give Jack a lot of credit for all he does so when his family and community are threatened by a god from the old world he steps up his game and the story really takes off from there. Things move pretty quickly from that point on.
His friends join with him to protect the community and they are awesome characters too. A werewolf, a tough as nails lady elf and others who help him when things get rough.
It's a new take on good guys vs evil. I enjoyed this story because it is so different, just needs to perk up the narration and it will be five stars from me.

"it is a good book"
the book had a good story to it I never got bored was always fast moving. I like the narrator he took pride in narrating the book he kept my attention all the way through.
"Dresden Files with Orcs"
Have we reached the point where all the storylines have been used up? I didn't hate the book, or the narrator, or the characters...I just couldn't stop myself matching it up to the old offerings among the urban fantasy genre.
"Great story! Horrible dialogue..."
I felt like it was a really good story and well thought out, but the dialogue between characters was so dry and dull I felt like I was listening to a bad movie. I didn't like the narrator and he could have done a better job. Almost every voice was this scratchy throaty sound... There were times when he was just talking normal and that would of been much better. As for the author I know he is young but like I said before, the dialog was horrible and I could of cared less about what happened to the characters. One issue is in one scene jack was getting his ass kicked and the next scene he was kicking ass. So it almost seemed like the author hadn't decided if he was a Bad Ass or a little bitch. Last item, I like my main characters to inspire me and I felt like we were trying to do that with Jack, but it wasn't there in the slightest.
