    "Disturbingly Well Written"

Scott Pratt goosed my anxiety every day I listened to "Injustice For All". This is a scary book with a minimum of gratuitous sex and violence. But lookout for the social/cultural/psychological price that Pratt exerts on his audience.

Okay, I'll buy another in the Joe Dillard series. But not for a while. I need to come down from the way Scott Pratt explains the criminal justice system. It all bonged at my conceptions of how the courts and cops work - in an unrelentingly credible plot that sucks people into dark pits.

I say "Whack-A-Mole" and you know what I mean right? But you're thinking of the apparatus that pops those little beasties up out of their holes. The thing is that there is apparatus inside those machines which wrenches them down. That's what Pratt controls here.

I'm not a Tim Campbell fan, yet he works his way through this book competently. I wish though he had more versatility in distinguishing character voices. Still, the book works... Which is both a good and a disturbing thing.

It will be too easy to write spoilers in my description. In a technical sense, Pratt's work here deserves five stars for plotting. It's a thriller I'll remember... whether or not I want to.

"Is there a 6th star option"

    Wow...
    He did it again...
This is truly a series that must be read from the beginning... And I must say do it quick because each one gets better.
I can't really go into the details other then to say the plot twists are surprising and welcome.
The other awesome part is that there are subplots woven in that doesn't always impact the main plot. This is awesome because it's much tougher for the main character and thus the audience to see where the story is headed.
As for negatives, the only negative I have is more subplots aren't developed. I'm not sure if the author is worried about the book's length or if the time required to write the extra pages or if no one pointed out that an idea he started could be further developed. Either way it foes leave some areas glosses over and prevent the audience from diving deeper into the main characters world. This is a small point but a point that makes writers like Tom Clancy or John Grisham's early work, have such devoted readers because of his attention to detail and ability to draw a reader so completely into a story. I for one would love to see this author go the same. Its really the only thing holding these stories back from achieving the top level of authorship.
Overall its a great story and that reader of legal thrillers will enjoy.

"I love the Joe Dillard legal thriller series!"

Injustice for All is Novel 3 in this superb series set in northeastern Tennessee. I'm in the midst of reading the entire series. So far the books do not disappoint. Tim Campbell's narration is extremely well done.

"Another great one in the series"

I enjoyed the story with all its twists and turns, there were a few confusing items in the beginning regarding his son and a high school baseball game in the previous story he was in college, it isn't till later on that it makes some sense. It was unnecessary and could/should have been eliminated.
The he narration was well done.

    "Good Legal Thriller"

Good story. Interesting characters. Believable narration. The Joe Dillard character continues to develop as does Caroline - his spouse. I have read the first two books in the series, but really enjoyed listening to this one. sometimes that's a hard transition because of pictures one has drawn in one's mind but this transition was seamless.
