What if you were born as a fully formed adult? Completely aware of your surroundings, fully able to speak, walk, think, and recognize, by name, all of the items you could see? The only thing missing, the only nagging void in your memory: your identity.
How do you think you would react to such a situation? Would it even be possibly to take it calmly? Or would there be a sense of panic? A rush of nauseating adrenaline so thick, so heavy, that it would leave you literally gasping for air in a room full of it?
Imagine just how frightening that could be.
Now, let's throw a single wrinkle into the mix. Suppose that you awakened into this new existence with one tiny clue as to who you were. A single word. A name. Which you somehow believed to be your own, despite the fact that you had no memory of any previous existence in which that name applied to you. Would this concept of a name, supposedly your own, in any way alleviate the stress of finding yourself suddenly coming into existence?
I'd like to say it did for me, but that simply wouldn't be the full truth. You will find that out soon enough though. But my only fear is what you might think once you learn the truth.
I am Sal.
This is my story.

"Unique, fantastic & creative must-listen story!"
Audible classify this novel as a police procedural thriller, and I suppose it is. It also has elements of contemporary science fiction. But mostly it is compelling and unique. If you like action thrillers, you will love I Am Sal. Narration is wonderful. I wish I could rate the story 10 stars. Just get the novel and read it! At Amazon Voice you can get the Kindle and Audible versions combined for $6.98 plus tax which is much less than the cost of the required one credit at Audible. Very Highly recommended! I plan to listen to it again! Soon!
"A fine single session experience"
I enjoyed this story via Audible as read/performed by one of the finest vocal talents I've yet encountered. If an interesting and engaging book is called a page turner, then my comparable experience must have been more of a very fine single session with pauses only for real-world necessities. I didn't want to quit listening. it would have been like walking out of a great movie. The big screen could use this story.
Keep at it!!!
"Well Done! Solid story performed nicely"
Held my attention and did not waste pages/time over describing items, situations or people which too many books do. It is like the authors that do that like to be garrulous for the sake of being garrulous just like I am right now, 😀. I thought I solved the mystery but then I was wrong, which is good, and even though it was subtly revealed well before the end it still meshed nicely flowing the 2 'inner'stories , 1 in the present and 1 in the past catching up to the present , making for a solid ending. I would like to see more or have seen more of Sals capabilities. Maybe a sequel?!
"Paul's narration out shines the plot."
Mr. Heitsch submits a perfectly paced and produced narration. I have listened to it solely as a kind of audible dessert. When the plot circles back upon itself to wonder over the one and only conflict it has, Paul keeps me glued to my headphones. I love that his performance never jarred me or hoisted itself above the book. In a word: immersive.
