Summary

The Camel Club returns in the breathtaking follow up to Divine Justice from the Number One International Bestselling author.

On the night of the State Dinner honouring the British Prime Minister, Oliver Stone witnesses an explosion as the motorcade leaves the White House. A bomb has been detonated in what looks like a terrorist plot directed at the President and the Prime Minister.

In the aftermath, British MI5 agent Mary Chapman, an experienced, lethal operative with an agenda of her own, is sent to assist and coordinate the investigation alongside American authorities. Stone, together with Harry Finn, Alex Ford and the rest of the Camel Club, is drawn into the inquiry.

But everything is not what it seems, and what happened in the park may not have been the actual plan. It seems the mysterious attackers had another target in their sights, and it’s up to the Camel Club to stop them, or face the catastrophic results.

Dick Van Dyke school of diction

Loved the plot and pace as usual.

What spoilt it was Orla Cassidy’s hilarious English accents, and there were many, rivalling DvD in Mary Poppins. And what she was required to say - mix of old English men from literature with a few cockney twists. (I usually love Orla so nothing personal)

Good but more of the same

I have read almost all of Baldacci's work and while this is nothing new it kept my interest. The story rattles along at a good pace and has enough twists and turns but as always it's the characters that I struggle with - they are just too perfect for their roles. You can always tell who the sacrificial lamb will be (normally the female side kick who Oliver Stone has been forced to work with) and that in the end stone will triumph. If you can ignore the obvious the its not a bad listen

A hellish good listen.

I have been a fan of David Baldacci for some time and have read most of his books. So it was a pleasure to listen to the story of the Camel Club (how does one join?) dealing with the twists and turns of the plot. A fascinating story well narrated by Ron McLarty. I am not sure that the use of two narrators works so well, just a personal preference.
As usual, a well devised plot, characters that have credibility and an execution of the plot that makes you wonder what turns are coming and indeed where the next corner maybe.

Fast paced action thriller.

If you like good action thriller with plenty of conspiracy thrown in then this is for you. It doesn't take up too much brain power but it is enjoyable never the less.

Love it! Favourite David Baldacci series. Excellent Narration AGAIN!

Love the twists and turns in this book. Great narration, as in previous books in The Camel Club. I really hope there will be more books in this series. My favourite David Baldacci series.

Another great Camel Club story

I really enjoyed the Camel Club stories. Shame this is the last one. But gives me an opportunity to listen to other Baldacci offerings. Great author with such unique and diverse characters

The English Accent was terrible

But the storyline was so compelling I had to live with it! I love the Camel Club series and this was by far one of the best but I’m so sad there aren’t anymore

Brilliant from start to finish

Just amazing start to finish twists and turns that had be drive around for an extra 10 min so I wait and see what was about to happen.
The end of the audio book !!!!! The interviews were a lovely touch. I get so caught up with the characters and Ron’s voice that when the book is over and you just hear him talk make this feature an unexpected touch if class, Ron, love your work .
