Three bodies, three different towns. Each victim was a sorority girl-pretty, privileged, and brutally murdered. There are no fingerprints, no clues. He is scrupulously careful, craving those exquisite seconds when the light fades from his victim's eyes. But the rush never lasts, and the killing won't stop. Not until one special woman has been made to suffer.

"Olsen (A Cold Dark Place) deftly juggles multiple plot lines as Cherrystone, Wash., sheriff Emily Kenyon investigates the murder of a local woman while crazed serial murderer Michael Barton, on a cross-country killing spree, terrorizes comely young sorority girls." (Publishers Weekly)

"Should have a Warning Label Sexually explicit."
I'm very disappointed that this story went so awfully descriptive about childhood molestation. The torture, again descriptive, & killing of helpless animals were so sad. We hear about adults murdered Sadly I missed a lot of the book. Great story, bad filler? A Man sexually assaulting a little boy is not a place I'd go to in any book in the future.
"Great read! (listen)"
I have read almost all of Gregg Olsen's true crime books. Enjoyed them all. I am in to mostly true crime at the moment ,so I really was reluctant to read a true crime writer's fiction. well I couldn't stop listening. this book was great. I think I'll read another......
"Another good one"
I enjoyed this book, it was a good police procedural. I'm sorry to think that this was the last in the series.
